For whatever it's worth: cheapest shipping method is Greyhound Package Express which is about $70 from here to Texas (just as a gauge). More reputable freight carriers like FedEx or UPS won't do it for less than $150. Plus my time prepping it for shipment (I have no box to put it in, so we're talking bubble wrap and plastic wrap only, which makes me nervous) and borrowing someone's car that is big enough to haul it to the shipper. In order for me to get what I truly feel the bumper is worth ( $400 since I'm not the Vendor but it's brand new) and even shipping it the cheapest way, it's damn close to the price you can buy it from Gruppe-S and have the security of buying it from an actual vendor. (And also keep in mind that the Vendors have accounts with the major freight companies and can get steep discounts due to the volume they ship on a yearly basis).
Assuming I shipped via Greyhound, I'd have to take somewhere around $70-$100 hit to absorb the shipping cost so that it would still be advantageous for someone to buy it from me instead of the vendor. So while shipping is "not that big of a deal", taking a huge hit on the price is.
