***HAVING TROUBLE? Can't Access My350z from Work/Home? ***
Some users (myself included) are having difficulty accessing my350z from work even though the site works at home.
Or vice versa, perhaps you can access at work but NOT at home. Here is the ***FIX*** for windows users Go to c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ open HOSTS file using notepad add the following 2 lines to the bottom of the file, underneath 127.0.0.1 and localhost 67.201.16.205 www.my350z.com 67.201.16.205 my350z.com then save, exit, and reboot your machine. It should be able to access my350z.com again!!! Edit: had to change IP address since Internet Brands took over |
^^ True haxor at work!
|
Worked like a charm. Well done!
P.S.- Don't ever let that sh*t happen again. Those other sites, with all due respect, were Go-bots to My350Z's Transformers. Sure, they're similar and have the same objective, but they just ain't the same!!!! |
this wont work for me. im running vista now and it wont let me save the notepad file when i open it

This solved all my problems. I could get onto the forum using a backdoor, but I would get kicked off in certian sections of the forum. Problem gone. Thanks.

#1 - This should not be considered a **FIX**. Modifying the hosts record should be a temporary band aid until the name servers / domain issue is taken care of and the DNS updates can propagate throughout the net.
#2 - What in the **** happened? Why wasn't the domain re-newed? #3 - For Vista users, if you want to modify your host record.... follow these following instructions:

The process is actually quite similar to that described in the previous entry. Just navigate to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Notepad, right click and select Run as administrator. Once opened, navigate to the hosts file, make your changes, and you’ll be able to save without issue. |
So should I undue the fix in a couple days?

I cried when I saw DirectNIC's placeholder instead of my morning forced induction reading material.... /sniff 2) Well you know when you set something up on an Automatic renewal and the little CC experation date is expired, well that was one thing. The second was the admin email for the domain records wasn't working at the time. 3) ... I agree it was pretty messed up, and trust me it was just as much of a pain for us as it was for you. |
I bet....it's all good.
Very rarely are there issues, my online bank account has a worse record. |
It worked for me going to www.my370z.com or the IP provided. The lady can't get in at all though.

I have had the worst three days of my life because of this!!!!!!!

Ouch… Are you kidding me? :icon43: The advice is to hack into a site?
If it’s all volunteer labor… I accept the problem and it’s an explanation. But.. if anyone’s getting paid to do this… You’re Fired! :) --Spike Edit: For clarity: This msg. was not meant for others posting here. It is directed to the Administrators and Moderators. |
