View sponsors isn't working

When you click view sponsors on the top of the page it takes you to a form to sign up to be a sponsor.

I saw that last week! This site is really starting to piss me off

350Ricky Jul 25, 2008 06:17 AM

Technical difficulties with the site?

chopperman Jul 25, 2008 06:30 AM

Same here, it brings me to the IB website.

IBxAnders Jul 25, 2008 08:21 AM

The sponsor list was outdated; nobody on this site ever updated it really; so it was removed accordingly.

Nice I'm glad to see members can go to the sponsors list and see the sponsors to buy from.

Is there a way we can have the link pull up a page with our current sponsors updated? Personally, I used it when searching for best prices from our vendors on a particular item.

No it wasn't, I ran sponsors for 4 years and updated everything on a daily basis- the 'View Sponsors' link pulled sponsor banners directly from phpads. If the sponsor was current, the banners were pulled. If they weren't current their banner was cut off by phpads (according to due date) and wouldn't show. There is no reason it should still be working other than the link redirects directly back to IB site.

As of right now, you guys will have to make do with this:
https://my350z.com/forum/showgroups.php

I began working on a list of the current sponsors, but I've been busy with other personal (+ recent events) things that came up.

I hope to have it finished within a week. Give me some time and I'll try to finish it. Sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused you.

Chris FYI:

IB simply broke the link. all they have to do is restore it:
https://my350z.com/sponsors/

As mentioned it updates itself because it pulls current sponsors from the phpads program. It has nothing to do with being "outdated" or "nobody updating".

Thanks for the info, Jason. :)

I'll bring that up with the IB personnel. I was told that some of it changed and I was in the process of making a thread (which I will update accordingly) for all the sponsors.

I like how they fail to mention "My350z.com" on their IB brands automotive sponsors.

Probably because the "list was outdated; nobody on this site ever updated it really;"

Nice, I like to support the sponsors.

I know they appreciate it. Unfortunately it's looking like IB wants to concentrate on advertising everything but the sponsors. Hopefully Chris can help turn this around- seems he's the only one who seems to give a sh!t.

Update...

I brought this up to the attention of IB staff yesterday. They advised me they will address the issue. I listed good reasons why the vendor list page should be accessible as it was in the past. I am confident they will ressolve the issue. I will keep you guys posted as I am updated....

Sponsor Link Now Operational...

The View Sponsors link is now working. It pulls up a page with all our sponsors. If you click on any given sponsor, it will pull up their profile page, banner, ect. They could not fit everyone's banner on the main page, due to the amount of sponsors we have, so this is why the 1st page you pull up will just list the sponsors.
