I'd like to know how posting asterisks results in aninfraction points.
 

I did not circumvent the filter by adding blank space or markup tags(which we all know is against the rules). If the preemptive language filter automatically turns it to asterisks, even if it is quoted, how does this mean I am "using profanity?" No one ever saw what I posted and I knew that before posting it.

This happens in thread titles all the time, there is even on in OT now and a thread in which. The moderator who gave me the infraction regularly posts in a video game thread where this and actual by passing of the filter is on every page.

Not that I want anyone else to be treated unfairly as well, but I am just making a point. I think I was given two infraction points simply because that moderator does not like me or what I have to say in particular threads and sections. You should not be given an infraction if the language filter is posting asterisks and not an actual word. I'll take the (petty) one for posting

because the word filter does not block it for some reason... It's kind of silly that this is even a question, but I did not get any response through best way of handling this.

this is the equivalent of the the FCC punishing TV broadcasters for bleeping out bad language. Punishing self-censorship does not make any sense to me.

Dare I ask what mod gave you the infraction? Please do us all a favor and air his name for all of us to know.

I dont see an infraction given for the first post you are showing. The only infraction lately was for calling people in a thread d**kheads. We don't usually give infractions for language unless you are directing it at someone in a bad way.
