heater doesn't work now,

ever since i got my car back from the supercharger install, my heater doesn't work, i know this is the F/I section but i thought that maybe a few of you might of had the same situation, i checked the fuses and didn't see anything blown, is there a possibility that i am missing something here, any help is appreciated, it's getting cold here :(

i guess i should go into detail about what actually happens, the blower will blow, just no heat even if it is on 90. and the ac light is off. any idea ?

Two things come to mined . 1 you have air pocket in the heater cored .[ did they take out radiator or hoses off on install ? ] 2 heater hoses are switched [ dont know if that would make a diff though ]

If you have a pocket of air, you will need to have the system flushed and re-filled. Only a few shops have a the vaccum needed to do this. Nissan can do it if your shop does not have it.

The only other thing I can think of, is that if it come on full blast and you cannot turn it off, the harness is not hooked up. If this is the case, you can simply pull the panel and plug it in.

I don't think a flush is in order here. Just need to open the bleed screw on the heater hose, fill the radiator very slowly until fluid flows out the bleed hole. Close the screw and cap, run engine until thermostat opens. Stop engine, let it cool. Repeat whole process until all air is gone. Took me about two hours total (three cycles through procedure).

Hope this helps.

There is also a special plunger type funnel thingy...dont know the technical name...that they sell at PepBoys. It assists in getting all the air pockets out of the sysyem

But try the bleeder screw near the passenger side firewall...that worked for me.

You definately have air in the system...that is why arent blowing heat.

Try the bleeder screw on the passenger side in the engine bay next to the engine. My heater didn't work after I installed headers. I bled the screw and all better now.

one more thing to add, i can't remember if my car always did this, but if i get in the car with the ac/heater in the OFF section, start the car, and turn it it right so it clicks on. the AC light comes on no matter what, and i have to press it in to turn the ac off. is this normal ? i can't remember if i always had to do that, i thought it would remember my last location.

That is normal for the A/C. The screw is on the upper left of the engine bay right behind the intake manifold.

It's on the other side of the motor....the passenger side. :) You cant miss it...look near the firewall, on the one of the coolant hoses. Looks like a screw on cap. :)

if it is the green screw on cap, i twisted it off, and there is an air valve like a tire valve, no pressure was released when i unscrewed it, im hoping this isn't the cap that i am supposed to unscrew. the cap i unscrewed is to the left of the plenum on the passenger side.
