2005 anniversity Z , need some sort of FI for a customer
In addition to my little shop, I'm also selling cars at a Nissan dealership lol. Anyways, I sold a guy an anniversity z and he wants a supercharger or turbo , and wants in included in the financing part. So , has anyone got a system compatible with the 05 ?

There is a difference in around $3k between the cheapest SC and cheapest turbo including installation costs. So price is a big factor. Is the customer wanting a sh!itload of power. If so, turbo would be the way to go as there is more power potential. However, there are a lot of 03-04's that are blowing their engines with a turbo. The APS Turbo kit looks like the best one on the market at this time from what I have read. There is also the new Turbonetics single turbo, but it hasnt really hit the market yet. It should put down roughly 385 HP but like I said, no one is runnig it yet so there is no historical data. If reliability is the goal, go with the SC. I plan on going with the Vortech kit whenever I get some room on my CCs. Great power (370ish give or take) and reliable. I have only heard of a few engines blowing that are running the Vortech. Also, the HKS is probably the most reliable kit out now, however there is only about a 300HP range on an AT. A friend just put down 369 with his HKS kit on a 6MT with Nismo cams and exhaust.Problem with the HKS kit is it is outrageously priced and you cant have many other mods with it. It is meant for a stock motor.
Well, there is my .02. All info I have gathered from living on the forum.

Damn, i wish I worked FI into my loan...Go turbo. Warn your customer about any emissions too. Superchargers are easier to pass, turbos we have yet to see one kit on the market so far that will. They all say they're pursuing, but I've been waiting over a year now. Superchargers are less maintenance, turbos are more but offer lower running temps. SCs cause more wear and tear, Ts are more "efficient". Then you got single or twin, does he mind about lag...what's he going to use the car for..etc.
Im well aware of the differences in turbo and supercharger , i used to own a Nissan performance shop here in Jackson. So , no price isnt a deciding factor, compatibility with the 05 anniversity ecu IS.
The reason standalone isnt an option is becaude of downtime, and our lack of a dyno here in this state.

As thawk408 said, APS said that they will have their ECU piggyback dialed in for '05 soon. Drop them an email through their site at http://www.************************/ for an ETA.
