Turbonetics just installed and driven, but my check engine light is on, what to do???
What are some common issues that could be causing this check engine light to come on? Also, A/F is at 14.2-16 at idle--10.5-11.3 under WOT, egt never went over 1000, boost is at 8 psi under WOT, and the car idles at 950 rpms, not running hot, actually running cooler than stock (new thermostat nismo). HELP!!!!

Chances are its just an 0300 code. Its not uncommon for boosted or even highly modded Zs to get this code. If you go by the local Autozone and borrow their OBDII scanner or if you have a friend at Nissan check its probably just an 0300 Multi Cylinder Misfire which basically means nothing. Everyone gets this code wit boost AT LEAST once. There are some N/A modded cars that get it and I even saw it come on with an 05 BONE STOCK Z. If its 0300 clear it and forget it. Other then that your numbers look dead on. 14-16 at idle is the car trying to stay stoich. Your idle SHOULD be at 950 this is part of the flash. 10.5:1-11.3:1 is PERFECT AFRs under boost. 8 PSI is also dead on...

When I was at the shop before I picked it up, I am certain that I saw that on their dignostic tool, but also seems as if I saw another, not sure. The check engine light came on after driving it about 40-50 miles. Is it ok to drive it?

Is it an SES (Service Engine Soon) light or a CEL (Check Engine Light) that you are getting?
The SES is pretty common as MIA indicated. But I'd be a little more cautious if it is a CEL.

buy my code reader for $40+ shipping! I paid $75 for it just 1.5 months ago, now I don't need it any more because the car is gone.
It reads codes, displays codes, erases codes (clears the SES light on your dash), stores multiple codes, tells when it's properly hooked up, tells when it's communicating with the car, shows pending codes, has freeze frame icon, heck it even comes with a manual w/ all of the codes listed. It has many more features including read and error messages. Pretty cool IMO.

I'm to the point where I don't even care if it comes on...I expect it....as long as the car is running fine I disregard SES lights. Maybe its cause no car I've owned in 5 years has been without mods, or with cats for that matter...
