K&N's ST G35

Any one see the K&N ST G35 in Import Tuner Mag. ? They have Custom plenum made for it . They say it flows with in 1cmf in all cyl. They made it for the Time attack . They stripped the chit out of it and have the Wt. down to 2800lb's .
The plenum has the TB on the passenger side . The turbo is on the driver side , a little furter back than Turbo-N has thiers , think its a big turbo also .

i read that while sitting in the airport. pretty bad ass.

big XS Engineering turbo IIRC, T67 maybe or something like that, custom one-off manifold. they said it was only good for 3-4 runs tho. still a very nice ride.

my car 2900 street daily driving weight. these cars are easy to take weight out of. race weight NA is about 2820..

edit, mine is a Z though. thats nice for a G

plumpzz May 22, 2006 02:41 PM

howd you do that? drop the weight i mean. Race weight usually includes a full tank of gas.

Stripping the interior and replacing body panels with corbon fiber . Lighter wheels ,

I read that article. Cool car, but all that money and it still will only last 3-4 laps at a time? IMO, there are much cooler cars out there. I still don't think it will be a match for the XS Skyline, Mullerized EVO, Works EVO, Sun Cyber EVO, for the overall title. Should do well in the RWD class though. I guess we will have to wait and see.

booger May 22, 2006 03:00 PM

I would think they are having the head lift and over heating problem . Thats why it only lasts 3 or 4 laps

From what I remember of the article, its the way they mounted cooling system because of the custom F/I setup. I seem to remember them using a small radiator mounted in a strage position, but I don't have the mag in front of me to confirm that. I think they have a smaller fuel cell as well.

That car looks like its more show than go honestly. HKS Time attack evo would rip it a new 1. But then again all the super fast track cars now a days are AWD (damnit).
