Vortech For Dummies...What do you recommend? Q&A Help

This is to help those who don't know much about FI get good info and learn from the true FI guys. I tried this on G35Driver but I know the knowledge is much better here! Thanks

My first question...

Why doesn't a Stillen Oil Cooler work for a Vortech Kit?

Also, what else is compatible with the Vortech that will do the same as the Stillen?

Im thinking of running the oil line going to the SC , to a basic cooler first . Then to the SC . Should be much cheaper than a name brand or a Stillen cooler . WIll do just as good of job as any others

I have never heard anyone speak of the stock oil cooler and it's efficiency. Of course a Vortech system is going to heat the oil greater than any NA system just by the physics of the oil running through the supercharger housing but how does the stock oil cooler do to cool it down?

I didn't realize there was a stock oil cooler until I saw it in the service manual (see attachment)...

that's not much of an oil cooler though, kinda a cheap cheesy one that comes on most cars these days

So basicly the oil cooler is a sandwich with coolant running threw it ?

I think I heard it's actually more for warming up the oil faster than cooling the oil
