Anyone have a Stillen Supercharger ?
I would like to know if anyone has the Stillen supercharger on their car. I am interested in the stage 3 unit with intercooler. Claimed to be very quiet and reliable. Power is supposed to besmooth from idle. I want it for fun not racing. Will it fit the '06 with the Stillen Stage 2 hood? Any info will be great!!

I want it bad. Real bad.
|
I will trade you my 05 for your 06 if you want it that bad. Has everything instaled just turn the key and drive.
Just kidding, just wait there will be something for the 06. If I had an 06 I would be calling JWT. They will give you just want you need. |
they claim it's quiet but they're fat liars, the stillen blower is the loudest mofo around.
|
Yeah the Stillens are loud-but sound excellent. I recently drove one down the 1/4, it was so fun hearing that thing whine down the 1320...
|
Check with superchargedg. He's running the Stillen stage-3 setup. It's sick. The twin screw sounds amazing at WOT...
|
Plenty of people have it on their Z's.
It is the perfect mod for "having fun" as you said. As long as you have the funding to back it up. Also, blown motors are NOT IMPOSSIBLE with this kit even if they say it is reliable. Just a word of warning. Try contacting Stillen to see if it fits the 06. A lot of people bash the Stillen, but if it fits your wants and needs then go for it. |

Thanks guys I appreciate the info. I would expect it to roar at wot I just want it kind of quiet at idle. I also think it looks "business" in black. The stage 2 hood appears to have a scoop on it that allows you to barely see the sc. Not to keen on having to change the hood too at 650.00 but for some reason I just like screw chargers and ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

how much power is the stillen stage 4 making?

the open scoop in the hood would help a bit and look really, really cool. Local buddy of mine, MLG (the guy that builds z enclosures) has the 'whale' hood that has the scoop that isn't open......would look absolutely SICK if it was. |

Steve Millen was asked that exact question, and he answered to the question of Rev Up's and the Super Charger. We are all ready testing, and have seen good result's. From the owner's mouth. Cheers Amy :) - :) |
Thank you for the info...

The Stillen is not known for big peak numbers. It is known for tons of power down low and power under the curve. I have the stage 4 kit and it is tons of fun and makes a lot of power. It is great kit for people who want to keep stock internals and have a fun street car. |
I didn't want to make a new thread, so here is my take after riding in a Stillen car the other day.
OMFG!! That thing pulls like a monster. It feels like it would kill my Vortech from a dig or a roll. I don't know if that's true, but I didn't realize how much torque a Stillen really has from idle to redline. I think it even feels stronger in the top end. I believe it was a Stillen Stage 2 or possibly a Stage 3. Has anybody else ridden in both? |

Really? The Stillen feels like it will leave me in the dust 0-60 or 1/4th. Not really sure what Stage it was.

The stillen S/C does make some crazy power on the low end. But someone had stated that it makes 325whp in stage 4, and i think that is a little conservative. The stage 4 makes about to 345-350whp if not more. The stage 2 makes about 310whp and the stage 3 makes about 330whp. A friend of mine has the stage 4 with the stillen true dual exhaust, CAI, and some other little things, and he is making somewhere is the 350s whp. He posted the dyno sheet. But the kit is def reliable and ill prob invest in the stage 3 sometime next year, after i gather some funds.:rockout:

It depends on the dyno but those are a bit high. Stage 4 is ~335-350 Stage 3 is ~310 Stage 2 is ~290 |

I think the average Z owner will be very happy with the power from the stillen, especially stage 4. |
ya and if not just spray it
|
around how much is the stage 4 when it's all said and done?

I know this is a pretty old thread an all, but do you happen to remember what you ran in that Stillen Z? Just curious. |
I think the best I have seen is a 12.8 but most of them are in the low 13's.

I lost the warranty when I went to stage 4. It has still been a rock-solid kit either way. |

I have the stillen stage 4, it's a nice setup. I worked with stillen closely on my setup, and will still be progressing with custom tuning via stillen down the road as well.
any info you want, just PM me, i can answer nearly anything regarding the kit. but to answer your question, IF you are an AT 06, the stillen should work, if you have a 6mt, then you're outta luck for the time being. The reason being is that stillen has not finalized tuning yet for the new rev up motors. |
