Why can't any Z tuners offer this.......

Check out DINAN's website and look at the Dinan M3 supercharger kit that offers a full 4 YEAR/50,000 mile warranty including, get this......CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES!!!!!!!

With the 10 or so FI kits out for the Z that all the manufacturers are claiming to be safe on the stock motor, why doesn't any of them offer this kind of product backing? Makes you wonder.

MikeEwithTheZ Jun 15, 2006 04:15 PM

Um doesnt stillen have a warrenty for the motor...maybe i read it wrong

atar350 Jun 15, 2006 04:21 PM

How about the price for a Dinan kit, and what type of parts it comes with, that **** aint cheap I bet. I have a warranty on kit and motor...

Fairlady_z33 Jun 15, 2006 04:35 PM

yea that aint cheap at all we are talking about 10k or more easily on just minor things with the supercharger. Plus this people most likely have a contract with BMW or something like that that allows them to give out warranty. Is like stillen if im not wrong stillen has a contract with nissan again if im not mistaken.

Santacruzslick Jun 15, 2006 04:40 PM

Well Stillen does have it...and Dinan is EXTREMELY expensive...getting serious power from an M3 is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY costly...

sq40 Jun 15, 2006 04:41 PM

If it wasn't for the Hood Thing, The Stillen Kit with the Warranty would probably be the #1 kit sold.

VN_350z Jun 15, 2006 04:48 PM

423 hp: 10K
462 hp: 16k
man...that's expensive

Also, according to their dyno plots this looks to be flywheel hp and not wheel hp.

The warranty is a nice feature though.

owning a bmw and buying DINAN parts is extremely costly...about 7 of 12 of my close friends have m3's and one has a new m5 and none of the dinan parts are NOT cheap... think my friend paul told me an exhaust for a 330i is like 3800...its rediculous....but when you have a passion you figure out how to afford it just like all of us...im actually going with them to some meet in bear mountain on saturday

DJ SMITTY Jun 15, 2006 06:37 PM

from what i gathered while owning my e36 m3 is that the dinan warranty only stays true if you get all the stuff installed by a certified dinan installer ie a bmw dealership. hendrick bmw that i used to go to charged 95 an hour for labor. if you look on dinans website, they have the hours that a certified installer charges and its rediculous. its really not worth it anyways. for 16k you can go with the active autowerke turbo kit and have some left over.

^^ How did you get a warranty on your TT and motor?

plumpzz Jun 16, 2006 01:37 PM

Dinan is mad expensive. Maybe part of the price is REAL R/D and a more solid product? (or insurance)

Nah they know a sucker who buys Dinan is a sucker with a lot of money.

Santacruzslick Jun 16, 2006 01:55 PM

They figured if you dished out the cash for an ///M then you can dish out the cash to upgrade it too.
