Re-turbo my car or just get a C6?

But jokes aside, on LS2's the 400+whp is very much achievable on an NA motor with cams, headwork, full exhaust and tune...

Yea it was good talking to you, Sharif. I thought for sure I was out of this game. But like any huge car guy, I just can't let the Z get the best of me like it has....I must show it who's boss
As for the JWT...I don't know yet. I'm not completely sold at this point; need to do more homework. I've pretty much skipped all of the JWT threads up to this point, so I have lots of research to do.

The problem with going JWT is, at least for me, is that the kit + CJM fuel system plus RC650 injectors + UTEC is is roughly $9500.
I can get the APS TT tuner kit + APS Twin pump fuel system that includes larger injectors + UTEC for only $9300, and have the potential for more power. As an added bonus, I get a nicer oil pan.

The more you do to your car the more problems you will encounter. Keep it simple. I agree with the JWT kit on a stock engine. I wouldn't even change the exhaust..I'd leave everything stock and be happy with my 400+ crank hp and tq

Not only that, but the fact that I'm having ONE shop do everything, as opposed to 3. If something goes wrong, it's on the shop, not me this time. Cause I ain't touchin it!

You might be interested in the JWT 700 kit, have Performane Motorsport build it and install that kit, which will give you the headroom you want, but the great power as well.

Why don't you do this:
1) Set a target power level.
2) Make a list of cars you're considering.
3) Make a shopping list of upgrades for each one.
4) Get the $$ needed to achieve the power goal with each one (including $$ needed to switch to a different car)
5) See if it is worth it for you to keep the Z or get something else?
Just try to be logical, you're attached to the Z, but you will re-attach to the new car very quickly.

Take your time, and when you are ready...we'll be here.
My vote is still for a stock motor, and basic JWT TT kit. Very simple, safe, and elegant setup for mild boost, without the extra expense and time with engine building.

).In the 35k to 40k price range, there really isn't a sports car that I like other than a loaded Z. Sure I could afford an '05 C6, but if I'm getting something new, I'm getting something NEW, ya know?

You can get a brand new base c6 for ~40k. It comes with everything you'd need

A well maintained stock used one will only be different in a sence that someone took the initial GM depriciation plunge. Since you'll be modding it anyway the factory warranty should not be something to consider...

Still loves to burn oil... Both cars have a totally different driving experience. No one seems to talk about that... However; on the C6 I do like the location of the shifter and the overall looks...
And you can just get a bigger oil pan and keep tabs on your oil levels. As long as you change frequently enough, this should be an issue either.
And personnaly, I would rather burn a bit of oil over time, then lose my oil all at once through a hole in a block...

Failsafe: You mentioned going to several shops to have your car worked on. What shops did you take your car to, if you don't mind me asking since you live close to my home state. I have plans on going to Texas for my TT install, so I'd like to know where to go and who to stay away from.
I could go back and do a search on your threads, but this would be much quicker. Thanks.
Oh, btw if I were you...stick to the Z. C6's are nice, but like all Corvettes you see them everywhere.
