Turbonetics Turbo a 4 or 5 Bolt Turbine Housing?
I have a turbine jacket on my turbine housing and I can't see how many bolts it uses to bolt up to the downpipe.... anyone?

Do you think a T4 exhaust housing will fit in the 350Z? Will it squeeze in below the intake pipe? Do you think this will cure the backpressure issue?

So I would have to upgrade to a T4 housing and turbine. Am I correct that this would be the next logical step here if it would fit?

you can't bolt a t4 turbo on a t3 flange either, your uppipe will have to have the t3 flange removed and a t4 welded on.
If you upgrade, and you just want 450-500, upgrade to a true 60-1 or a 62-1. those turbos both utilize T4 turbines and housings in their 'natural' form. |

If I were to go with a 60-1 which turbine would I go with? Wouldn't I spool up later with the 62:1?
JET |
a 62-1 is a larger turbo, so yes the spool would be later.
60-1 .68 a/r P Trim or 62-1 .68 a/r P trim....I'd lean towards the 62-1. cams (even S2's) will spool it quicker. running the 62-1 will require less boost to make the same power |
The 62-1 will not spool noticeably later then a 60-1 given the same turbine. I would look at running something larger then a .63 A/R even on a T4 turbine.

I was just using the turbo matrix ;)

Could my 60:1 easilly be converted into a 60:1 T4 P Trim? Do you think I could order another up pipe with a T4 flange welded on it?

it needs a new turbine wheel.

Is this modification cost prohibitive to just replacing the turbo. I have no idea what Turbonetics would charge me for this. The new BorgWarner units are sweet!!! The GT-K being released in January for $2300 is not an option when I could get a BorgWarner for $1200 now.

I was quoted $1200 for the S258. Here is a link to the S200 BorgWarner units....
