Swapping ECU's?
 
I am selling my Turbonetics kit .The interested party has an 03 while mine is an 04. Can we swap my reflashed ECU for his OE ECU?

Any issues that may arrise?

yea, your ecu is coded to your car. itll run once and only once and then it wont do jack ****.

Yes most likely if they reflash it at all. Make sure he has your original proof of purchase.

As MI said you can't just swap ECUs. The ECUs are coded to the keys and security module (NATS). To reflash the ECU back to stock send it to Technosquare. I think they charge $150 for that..

Whats the guys name, Tedashi (sp) hes pretty damn cool. The guys out at 350evo pre- motec were all running his flashes. Actually MIA according to BJ, if you send it to this place in Japan they can disable the coding... I know nothing about it other than its expensive... Only reason it would make sense is if you are a race team and have a few ecus for the same car with different paremeter to make peak performance on a track day.

Now with those cars running Motec its not a big deal.

Oh you can actually have the dealer recode the keys when you swap ECUs but they charge a LOT for this...
