Its because its low boost. More boost = more power.
I'm sure this kit is VERY reliable. Although you only get, I dunno like ~50-60hp or so, you probably have very good reliability.

I wouldn't crank up the boost too high anyways, I like my engine.

SO its ready to go--for sale now???

I would be happy w/ 50-60hp but from what I'm hearing--people want that too but not for the price!!
I would probaly be willing to give up the Strut tower brace--but damn that hood!Hope the Hood is out of the equation!
I mean I don't autoX--and one guy said he thought his Z handled pretty damn good w/ his brace off(Street Wise)---but I'm sure its not that good!

whats the going price now??
I love SC's,...had one on my Teg and yes they are very reliable!!!!
50-60hp would be Great!!!That would be a def contender for EVO's no doubt!!!hahaha thats all I want it for--I wanna burn my friends EVO's

I agree.

-That hood is fugly
-The price is inflated

Other than that, I love the idea of a supercharger on my Z making some reliable HP

From what I understand they are using a 7th injector to increase the fuel as a compliment to the extra air . . . this wont be too reliable. Bad, bad, bad, stillen! You know better.

I think a nice Vortech kit located in the stock air box location with a real ecu program (no ghetto rigged 7th injector) would be my choice for FI modification. Even over turbos. Oh yeah price should stay under $5K for everything.

Anyone want to make that?

Woops, did I say something? S/C kit is all talk for now. Maybe someday!

I am going to run out of money if Dougs keeps making power with his mods.

Note to others: Stay away from 350Z's from TN we are all FAST!

i was just wondering and seeking some education on the topic.........

i have heard many times using the 5th (4 cyl. engine) or 7th (v6) injector is bad, can someone explain why?

The easy answer is with an extra injector the fuel is not really directed to a particular spot. You are trusting that a single injector will distribute evenly throughout and find its way to each intake port. You also then allow for possibility that the fuel will settle or puddle somewhere (in the intake or intake runners) until it finally makes its way to be ignited. Then your engine goes BOOM!

I also saw the mention of a 7th injector elsewhere. This doesn't make any sense to me, I assumed like you guys are saying that it won't distribute as evenly. So my question is why not just put slightly bigger injectors for all 6. Yes I imagine your fuel consumption would be greater, but why mess with rigging in a 7th injector?

The only thing I can guess is that the ECU won't for some reason be able to handle having larger injectors. Any ideas out there on this approach? The turbo kits people are talking about don't say anything about an extra injector, but they all look to be using some kind of piggyback ECU management. I'd rather do that.

I am also dying for a good supercharger to come out. But a roots type, not centrifugal, I want power all the way across the rev range. Max output won't be as good as a turbo but the driveability and instant throttle response would be well worth it. Plus it's a NA motor so you can't go boost crazy anyway.

Also 2 other things... the hood well that kind of stinks having to replace it but oh well. A little power-dome might make it look a little meaner so to me that's not too big of a deal.

2nd is losing the strut brace which does kind of suck. But everyone makes it sound like the car won't function without it. The only time it'll have a big impact is if you're racing where the suspension is really loaded up and you might get some unwanted movement. I'll probably try and get something fabricated though to go around it, maybe just try and tie it in to the firewall somehow like the racecars do. Have you cake and eat it too.

From what everyone is saying, THIS KIT JUST SUCKS! I think Stealin has there thumb up their *** on this one. And as usual coming from them is that crank H.P or wheel H.P., who the hell knows, until again, one of us take the leap and do their testing for them. Any takers, cause it isnt going to be me. I think so far the Greddy T.T. kit will be the way to go all things considered. Just my 2.
