I'm like, so totally NA right now...for sure
Well the TN kit is off so let's see if I can get it sold and figure out what to do next..
It's just so sad my GTM Turbo cams never got any love yet:( |
Are you staying na or just in the middle of a project.

My new Greddy TT and GTM cams will be getting lots of love Friday!
You can't go wrong with the Greddy! Price, quality, capacity to make power, spool up. I upgraded the clamps to t-bolt clamps, ordered the Tial BOV, added K&N filters, SGP 3" downpipes & wg relocation w/open dump, and the cams. Jump on the bandwagon brother with a proven power package! JET |

Good thing I have a GSXR |
Dude you got rid of the turbo. Im guessing your problem never got resolved. Get the STS kit. :)

Change your oil return to a SS braided line with a 45 degree elbow that's routed correctly, change out your PCV valves and lines, install a catch can, change out your turbo, pull the plugs and check for oil, and run the car for a good amount of miles to clean out the exhaust tract. If you're still smoking, run a compression/leakdown test and hope it passes.
If you're still having smoking issues then I'll just say common sense would say it's not the actual turbo. |
Yeah... change out your turbo.... Turbonetics sending him a free one?

No I mentioned in another thread that it was thermal failure(coking) oil residue build-up was on the components.
Change your oil return to a SS braided line with a 45 degree elbow that's routed correctly. Done I bought the AAM kit Change out your PCV valves and lines. Done and inspected Install a catch can. Done, a Greddy and that was fun routing in the bumper Change out your turbo. Sent for inspection and reported the above failure Pull the plugs and check for oil, run a compression/leak-down test and hope it passes. New motor from BuiltZmotors Due to the type of failure I feel confident that if I replaced with a new one the problem wouldn't return for a while but I was out of warranty and didn't want to run the risk of having another Turbo fail again. I was using the TN oil so I guess Motul is the next step up but since I have a built motor now I need more capability anyway. For now the car is running perfect NA so atleast I get to drive it and hopefully I will either sell what remains of the kit and buy a Greddy or wait until TN releases something in the future that is water-cooled with more output. |

So if it's the turbo then get a water cooled bearing housing? You're not going to be able to do much with the kit with leaky seals anyway. Might as well explore your options...
