depends on what your goals are for the car and what your looking to do with it...

Exactly. Do some reasearch and find out what kinda power you want to be making, because that can effect what you need also. Size of injectors, engine management, etc.

biggest rule of thumb i've heard regarding the 550s vs 700s, is that the 700bb kit has its wastegate pressure set at around 11psi, which could potentially blow a stock motor.

thanks.that does not sound good. just looking for 420 rwhp for now then go from there. just i can not afford to to the kit and motor at the same time. i have a utec now adn just trying to decied the best kit for every day driving and the track

go big or go home.

:icon18:

werd, built or bust, 420WHP = buy an old vette... This car is a nightmare in costs to get a solid reliable RWHP and with 700s you'll need to go big

I would do the 700's, wouldnt even consider the 500's

go with 700's have your dealer tell JWT it is for a stock block and they will adjust it to flow as low as possible and get it around 9 psi

700s

Spring pressure for me is 9.3 psi. If you have a stock exhaust (or just stock cats), I'm fairly confident it will keep the power reasonable for a stock motor - no worries. The other nice thing is that the 700 tuner kit does not come with a fuel system or EMS (which is why it doesn't cost too much more than the 530bb kit), so you can pick your own there (and that's a good thing  : Haltech + CJM)...

I also agree to go with the 700's and if your trying to go for 650 plus later, you can have Jim make you a set of 850's

To put Luie's post in perspective, the 530bb will barely squeeze out 500 whp on a DJ and the curve will have huge midrange torque with a meager top end at that power level.
