Continually Blowing Fuel Pump Relay Fuse
Hey guys, 2003 Boosted 350z here.
I have my 525 walbro pump wired to a relay and have had it wired up for nearly a year now.
Just put the motor back in my car after a head gasket replacement and new l19 studs and it started right up. AFR's were good, Fuel pressure was good, everything was GOOD.
Bleeding the coolant system and I was almost done with it when the car just shut off. No Check engine light, just SLIP and VDC lights are on.
Fuel pump relay fuse keeps blowing anytime I turn the key ON. then fans kick in.
I unplugged the plug that goes to the fuel pump thinking maybe the wires inside the tank were shorting out, maybe? but no, even with the plug to the fuel pump it keeps blowing fuses.
The car started up without problem and fuel pump was working great. It was running fine for 30 minutes or more while I was bleeding the coolant system.
So even with the plug unplugged to the fuel pump, the relay fuse keeps blowing in the IPDM. Just as soon as it gets fire to the box, boom. Blown.
I've seen a thread on here talking about when he was slightly under boost it blew, but then he put in a new fuse and it ran fine the rest of the day. Mine just keeps blowing fuses.
Also, the OBD2 says "No response" when I hooked my reader up to it.
Would appreciate any insight where I can start to see what's going on here. I've gotta get this girl back going.
Thanks!
