str8dum1, no I do not get 5k per set, which I am totally fine with. If there was a "sticky" tire getting better life, I would personally shy away given my requirements for traction.

Here are the tires I use, MT Radial 3785R

Hal, how well does the car handle with those MT's? I realize you aren't hitting the twisties on a set of DR's, lol, but just around town, on ramps/off ramps/spirited driving kinda stuff.

Much better than expected. Definitely not road-course-ready, but perfectly fine for everything you want to do driving around in a 9second street car. A lot of this is the fact that I'm using a 18" tire. If I were on a 15", it would not be so pretty, though it would hook better.

ya thats the tire I figured. Not many choices. Do you have those on an 11" rim?

are you guys a MT dealer?
