Default F/I build

So I've been thinking about going F/I again recently and after shopping around this is the build list I've come up with so far. My goals for now are about 380-400rwhp on a stock block with possible higher numbers in the future who knows . I don't know WHEN or even IF this would ever happen I've just recently had a bit of extra money. Any thoughts or feedback is appreciated, I'm no pro so if I say list something dumb, sorry.

Still haven't decided on the Powerlab GT35R or the GTM twin or even the Greddy twin, this would all depend if I could get a solid used kit for a good price. Here we go though:

2003 Performance 350Z VQ35DE

Powerlab GT35R Tuner: $5950.00
GTM Twin Turbo Tuner: $5675.00

Deatchwerks 600cc Injectors: $549.00
Walbro 255LPH Fuel Pump: $100.00
Osiris UpRev: $600.00ish
Defi BF Boost Gauge: $250.00
Defi BF Oil Pressure Gauge: $291.55
Defi Link Control Unit II: $115.00
AEM Single Channel UEGO Kit: $346.00
AEM UEGO Wideband Gauge: $260.00
HKS Turbo Timer Type-1 + Harness: $146.00
Performance clutch: ??
Install/Tune: ??

Powerlab GT35R Tuner: $8607.00 w/o clutch and install included.
GTM Twin Turbo Tuner: $8332.00 w/o clutch and install included.

These are also all listed at retail price, with some of the forum specials/deals that I've seen I can save myself around $1,000 on the Powerlab kit and probably around $300-$400 on the GTM kit because I haven't seen a special pricing for that kit unlike the Powerlab GT35R.

I'm thinking around $10,000 can get me on the road but I haven't talked to any shops so I have no idea how much it would cost to get everything installed/tuned. A close shop to me is R/T Tuning in Lansdale so I'd probably be in contact with them if/when I decide to take this any further. Any feedback/help is appreciated thanks.

I would also look at the Boosted Performance ST kit. Vas_33 made good numbers as did Sasha. Binder also has the kit on a built motor.

I read over Vas_33's thread and tune by R/T but I'd much prefer my turbo's in the engine bay. That kit isn't out of the question but I also couldn't locate the fabricator's website or anything. I just don't know enough about it, and the mid mount scares me if I ran over something and damage my turbo.

You won't damage anything, because the turbo sits higher than the front and rear skid plate. The large T4 turbo will help with power goals over 500hp too

I have been too buisy building/shipping kits to work on the website

Do you have a website or anything so I could read up on some more info about your kit? I know Vas and R/T were very impressed, I'd like to know more.

See post (edited) above.

I am shipping 3 kits out this week (2 shipped already). I am sure there will be much more feedback from new customers in the near future as well.

really, the best advice you'll receive is to research mid-mounts, remote-mounts, single-turbos/twins/etc and decide whats best for your situation. i see your budget is 10K but you have to budget for incidentals. and i would highly recommend addressing the cooling system.

i'm not saying that will prevent problems, or add to reliability/longevity, but it doesn't hurt to be overly cautious. i'm not a vet, or even F/I...i'm just relaying some info i've come across on my own personal research.

When I was planning my build I was considering keeping my UpRev Osiris system and just retuning after the boost was installed…but I really started thinking about it…

^^^ That total comes out to be $2,008.55…

After looking at that (although I do think some of what you listed is unnecessary…), I thought why not go bigger in terms of performance and ability? So, I looked into a ProEFI Pro48 EMS, when I purchased it they had a promotion, for roughly $200 less you could have the ProEFI Pro48 ECU, 350Z/G35 wiring harness, MAP sensor, and Can gauge. Much better option IMO, I'm glad I didn’t spend all that money on gauges and a re-flash.

for a single turbo setup and ease of install, Boosted Performance's kit with the true T4 flange is the way to go.

On a stock block the 5857 would be excellent or the 6262 would leave some room for a built setup.

I wouldn't get the turbo timer, instead a boost controller with over boost protection just in case. Turbo timer isn't needed as long as you let the car idle for a few after hard driving( I do after every drive no matter what). And browse the vendor marketplace for some prices, I got DW 600cc injectors and a Walbro 255 for 550$ Shipped, save $100 there, unless you are baller and it doesn't matter ha.

And clutch, I am running ACT 6 puck sprung with a ACT Streetlite Flywheel. Holds the power fine for me. 421whp 391wtq

On a stock block it doesnt matter. You can only make around 400whp. Any kit can do that and max out your stock rods. The install on a TT kit is infinitely harder than a mid or rear mount turbo kit. And if you are paying someone for the install.. probably 2x as much money.

Obviously if you plan on dropping 6-10k$ down the road on a built motor, the TT setup is the way to go.

Sounds like the 5AT guys have left themselves out in the cold buy not donating a car to build on.

If I had just a little extra cash, I'd remedy that. Lord knows Sasha has offered enough times...

There may be a local G auto with a Boosted Performance single turbo kit very soon. At that point I can modify my piping and make it work for the AT guys.
