11PSI on stock APS TT BB???
So yesterday i finished up the install on my APS TT Ball Bearing Kit on stock internals. I wired up my boost gauge and took it out for a test drive and found that im running 80KPA=~11.5PSI. It isnt creeping it hits ~80kpa and stops (Defi replay) and consistently does in every gear. This kit was used but has the OE Actuators. The Kit does come with a boost jet which i suspected maybe installed but i cant find it. 1)Would the boost jet from the kit cause this much boost 2)Where is the boost jet usually installed? i couldnt find it in any of the vac line around the BOV. Could this be an issue with the APS Boost Solenoid? How exactly does that Solenoid work?
Thanks
Thanks

it could be waste gate spring or blow of spring pressure. Im guessing you dont have a boost controller??? Sense the kit was used(for how long, we all dont know) the spring could possible have some signs of use, as in not retaining the proper psi on spring pressure.

the APS TT kit should have external wastegates (http://www.airpowersystems.com/350z/350z_tt_tuner.htm). YOu need to open them up and change out the spring to a lighter one that opens the wastegate sooner (ie less boost).
You most likely have the big red and you need the small green

Are you sure str8dum1? I thought only APS Extreme kits came with external wastegates, it is an option on newer standard kits, and older standard kits came with internal wastegates.

i have no way of knowing how long the kit was used as it came off a wrecked car but the intake filters look brand new and the intercooler is near flawless so i assume it wasnt used long
i have the APS GT Ball Bearing it comes with internal wastegates, i believe thats the extreme kit that comes with external and possibly the tuner kit, i have the kit with Garrett BB Turbos

Im on stock block, and it is running the Unichip that comes with the kit
I dont have a boost controller, are you referring to the unichip's boost solenoid in the kit? Does is work like a boost controller?

Either way i would take it to a shop(that works on 350z) and have them check that out as soon as possible sense your pushing well into the limits of your stock block. Also, ditch the unichip and get uprev. Reason why i say is because right now you have a base tune and it not custom to your car and you could be running lean or to rich! Lets just pray it on the rich side! Everyone bow your heads now, please let the car make it threw, amen!

What were your AFR's while running 11.5 boost? Stock APS kit should be running 6.5 (I think) boost with an unaltered unichip tune, Don't run in boost anymore till you get this sorted out or you might regret it.

Edit: to clarify i had an Osiris Tune when i was NA so i already have the license and i was going to remove the unichip but the tuner says its running dead on with the unichip
the unichip is tuned and best i can tell it adjusts to boost, it has a boost signal on the control box, and it seems like no matter how much throttle or how much boost as long as im in boost my AFRs are in the 10s

if you are trully at 10afr when under boost you are way RICH.....actually to the point of washing cylinders out rich.
Sounds like you need to get this to someone who knows what they are doing...no knocking on you, there just really is no room for error on a stock motor.
