anyone?? there is a local sale on the 3.9 gears and im really debating it.. wouldnt making the gears shorter put me in the vortech powerband better than stock gearing?? any help would be greatlyy appreciated!

It would likely give you a little better pull down low, I have a friend that runs 3.9 on his TT G35 and he seems to like them. I also think it would keep you in the powerband a little better. However I do not have any experience with vortech Zs. I did have a Mustang with a vortech and the steeper gears really helped it out.

no one else has the 3.9 gears?? i really want to know if this will make acceleration faster on a vortech..

Yes of course it will, thats what their supposed to do. Just make sure you have enough tire so traction isnt an issue. Doesnt matter if your on a vortech or TT or NA. Higher gears give you more acceleration.

This wouldn't be good for a turbo since there is more torque in lower rpm's. For a Vortech yes this will get to your powerband quicker. I'm sure first gear would be very short but second gear on up you should have a "feel" of about 10% more hp. I'm considering this mod too. Great bang for the buck.
