Uprev launch control...we're CLOSE??
After watching this vid I had an idea (look at 1:10 where he demonstrates switching from launch control map to power map):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXY3WGF6huE Why not wire something up to tie the cruise 'set' switch this into the top clutch switch? Hell...the top clutch switch is tied to the cruise control already...so it shouldn't even be THAT hard for uprev to do this all in software...c'mon Jared, make it happen!!! |
Very Cool, Keep working on it......

very very cool, subbed
|
+1 to adding it in a software update. That would make it more competitive with the haltech
|
damn that would be epic, i would change to osiris very quickly after seeing that
|
Would love it if my Osiris had launch control...

Just get a Vi-PEC, it has progressive launch control, flat shift, anti-lag and if you remove your BOV it will let you brake boost too.

Dose it? Who tunes yours? |
Id rather it allow HR's to adjust their cams. You know, like Cobb does.

I brake boost and still running two BOV's !!

Glad I got the Haltech. |

Edit you're right no cam phasing on HR's just DE's... lame |

Our ECU will hold 3 separate maps at any time and can be swapped with a simple switch. I run a 12lb street map and maps 2 and 3 run together at 22lbs with map 3 merging with map 2 when the meth mixes in. Turning the meth on automatically switches the maps and can be done while driving. I have it set up where the cruise control button switches on the anti-lag for the turbos and I can mash the pedal to the floor and it holds rpm @ 5K and builds boost till 1-2lbs and then the BOV opens (no idea why). Running anti-lag is pushing raw fuel right into the turbos and is very hard on the thin housings (I started cracking mine), but the car pulls crazy from gear to gear. I am also set up for flat shift above 5K rpm so no clutch, just pound the gear shift. I still don't use that cause its hard to brake the habit of clutching. Franz tells me that the ViPEC is the next best thing to MoTec at half the price and the new software is making it better all the time. |

Gord - Make sure you get the latest software/firmware update. Franz Diebold of Diebold Autosport tunes my car.

Dont bother reading its just a late night thought because i cant go to sleep.
2007 350z VQ35HR Sorry for the huge bump. Does anyone know how these buttons work? Does it create a ground or does it allow voltage? If so how many volts. I want to see if I can draw up something to switch it from launch control to the tuned map. I basically have to build a chip that will switch it to map 1 with one button Edit: It works by different resistances. Now i have to figure out the values Edit2: Found it! i should search harder next time instead of bumping. here is what i found https://i.imgur.com/8g8oY8H.png?1?9765 https://i.imgur.com/9gjGdXs.jpg?1[/IMG] Edit3: deleting old images but leaving the links. made simplified image of values when button is pressed. the resistance values are between the two ECU pins when each button is pressed. The voltage values are between the G/Y wire at the ECU and body ground. https://i.imgur.com/o54RQmC.jpg Edit4: New updated with resistor values. Attachment 463612 Alright im going to simulate this circuit. Edit5: Well for Map one it has to go from 2V to 1V then 2v again then 4v on ECM pin 101 Conclusion: Just do what the guy did in the video. Making one less button to press is not worth it. unless you want completely separate buttons for each map. idk if this is helpful. Here are the resistance values for each map between the pins when switching maps. Note: Map 1 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 4000Ω Map 2 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 4000Ω Map 3 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 4000Ω Map 4 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 4000Ω Map 5 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 250Ω > 660Ω > 4000Ω correct me if you like. my thoughts are not in order |
Has anybody managed to setup the Uprev with 2-step from the clutch pedal as discussed above?
