Vortech won't build boost!!
 

I didn't start the car for long time, but I have to make it run for emission tast, start it up with a very loud cracking noise at idle, I also play with the threads on the bypass, try to set to 6 to 7 threads vs the stock 9 threads. I only read 5psi at 55krpm. What's wrong? Please help!!:dunno:

Wait back up, we need more details. What does your boost gauge say at IDLE? How long has the car been sitting?

Look for a boost leak..

We need more details about your setup. What pulley are you running? Have you taken your RPMs to redline and checked how much boost your making there? Are your clamps on tight? Is your bypass closing fully when in boost?

i have 2.87 pulley,spacer,hfc,true dual exhaust and headers. When at idle, boost gauge read 18-20, when 3krpm hit, i read 0, and i have to gun it to 5krpm to see 5psi. My car has been sitting alost a year. How can i check if the bypass close fully under boost? I will check on the clamps later to make sure it's tight. Thanks for all the help guys..

what u used to get @ 5krpm? this could be a belt slip, or boost leak.

i used to get 12 psi at red line at the tuner. i have the gtm pully mod, the bell is pretty tight.:dunno:

your blower sound is fine? no wierd noises?

sound really loud when the rpm drop below 850rpm. alot louder than before. The blower only have 1000 miles on it after i install it.
