That the headgasket isn't the problem? Seems believable to me.
Warped heads
warped block
bore drilled crooked
crack in the heads or block
these are all things that should have been addressed by the machinist prepping the engine hence a PREP problem not equipment problem.
Over torque or under torque on the bolts would be an install problem. I guess cracking the heads could be an install problem as well.

I'm just saying my part because I think the same shop did my build. But with that being said- different motor... different build... different time... and mine is fine. In fact better than fine.
I'm just cringing because I may know some of the guys involved and... well- anyway. It is what it is I guess-

Might have. Everything was straight edged and inspected and decked before reassembly though. Heads were torqued properly. Not positive its hg but same symptoms as last time. I'm not down for a round 3 if it is. Cars getting parted and ill through a stock long block in myself and trade it in on a used zr1 I'm thinking

i am parting my other DE z out. less motivated to getting it running just got the block and everything from it back and assembled with new piston rings and bearings and such, so trying to part that the tt kit out and some other various goodies out of it. might swap something into it or just part it out and sell the rolling shell. looking to get back into a bike again i miss my old one XD

doesnt seem to be the headgasket, think it was a combination of to much coolant in the system and a buble or two, bled the **** out of it and took a decent amount of coolant out and its running fine now so i may have dodged a bullet. not getting my hopes up tho lol driving it around some to confirm its ok, so far it has been after 200 miles.

i can't say it enough since nobody listens:
SPILL FREE FUNNEL
it's THE ONLY WAY to get all the nasty air out of the 350z. I've never had issues with any other built car or bike in my life until i came to my g35. After trying for weeks to get it to bleed properly it still wouldn't open the thermostat at temp. 20 minutes with a spill free funnel and the issue was gone. Ever since then i've always used my funnel when i change coolant and never had another bleeding issue. I let friends around here borrow it when they have to do work since it's impossible to get all that air out due to nissan's poor design of having the thermostat and water passages in the heads higher than the fill neck.
20$ at napa or on amazon.com
