Equal Length Turbo Exhaust Manifold
So I'm shopping around for a turbo kit but I'm a very picky person. I can't seem to find ANYBODY who makes an equal length turbo manifold for z. Does anybody know of a company that does?
|
Why is it that big of a deal? An all out build is one thing but a regular turbo build is kind of a moot point.
|
It's not really a big deal, it's just what I want. So if it's out there, and somebody makes it, I want it.

If you are looking for a TT kit, then Sound Performance and Speed Force Racing had some manifold. The other option is a single kit, with after-market headers and this: (Boosted Performance twin scroll kit)
Attachment 400388 Attachment 400389 The primaries are equal length, feeding a twin scroll turbine. |
Thanks boosted performance for the reply, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for

SP and SFR are the only ones to have something in an equal length configuration. It is just a set of after-market equal length headers, with a T3 flange welded at the end, making it a "low mount" kit. |
..... he gave you all the MFR's that have equal length manifolds, SFR and Sound Performance.

I'm looking for something like this, but for the vq35hr.

Holy cow. That's exactly what I'm looking for. Now if that was cast iron I'd really be excited, but I can deal. I'm sorry boosted performance, I misunderstood your post earlier with the picture of your shops manifold and twin scroll single turbo setup.
|
Cast iron? What? Why? That would be expensive, heavy, ugly, and incredibly prone to cracking. Wrap the piping and call it a day if you are worried about heat loss.
|
because cast iron in the best for turbo manifolds
|
To a point yes but it's definitely not the end all be all. You'd be very hard pressed to see someone running cast iron manifolds on a turbo setup other than OEM. It's hard to work with, cracks, rusts, is heavy, etc. Definitely not worth the hassle when you have stainless tubing that you can get ceramic coated and will flow better, easier to work with, last longer, and look better.
|
Good luck on that one....And i'd argue Inconel would be better...

Wasting time on this one guys...100-1 odds she will never buy or install.
Seems like she is looking for a reason to "be picky" and "be unable to decide and buy". |

get off this forum with your dreamer, never gonna own a TT kit bs.
Listen..youre not special. A dozen other noobs just like you signed up this month and are on here crapping up the joint with your BS dreamer threads. Youre most likely under 25, bought your Z for 10-15k and think you are DK. You just watched the Paul Walker Bday vid and feel that you are going to max out your CC in order to just buy a TT kit. |
If I can't find the manifold I'm looking for then I'll just buy GTM's cast iron unequal length manifold that comes with their kits. It's really not a big deal, but its what I want .

You keep showing your lack of knowledge. You havent even mentioned what year your Z is....but considering you paid under 10k its probably a 03-06DE. |
I paid 24k for my 2008 Nismo Z, back in Nov of last year. Had 14,900 miles on it. It's paid off now and money will go to parts. So hush dude you're just trying to start shittt
