My Build (392whp/445tq @ 15 PSI)
Im not super active on the forums but I do browse a lot. Mostly in the classifieds lol. So I just felt like posting my Z build. It's been finished for a couple years and I've had plenty of time to enjoy it, so here it is.
Built by Accelerated Performance. Tuned by Pure Tuning here in Toledo, Oh. Both great shops.
Weiseco 10:1 Pistons
K1 Rods
ARP Head studs
ACL bearings
Koyo Radiator
APS Single Turbo with exhaust upgrade / external WG (pieced together Used from the forums)
DW 1000cc with DW 320lph pump and full return
UpRev Osiris
Some eye candy
temporary image hosting
I dont have a lot of pics of the car, but here's one with a friend of mine with his 50th Anniversary Z06. We went to the strip that day.

And a dyno sheet (3rd tune)

Here's a time slip. It was the only run I got for the day and I am by no means experienced. This was also on one of my earlier tunes without numbers that I'm at now. I had a TON of wheel-hop and didnt get traction for the first couple gears. The vette red-lighted but I was right on him the whole way.

Right now the car sits most of the time. Im having some overheating issues. It pretty much only happens when I get into boost. Ive bled the air out of the system I dont know how many times. Ive used the no spill funnel and followed the whole 3k rpm system, but it doesnt seem to help. I can cruise around like normal all day, but if I hit boost, it will shoot right up. Im planning on getting it figured out this spring.
Anyhow, let me know what you guys think.

If he doesn't know how to read that graph, and give you good advice, then that would be a big problem.
I would however focus on your overheating problem, that is bigger than your lack of power.

Thanks for the reply. I guess to clarify, his problem with osiris was that there isnt a very high resloution for tuning compared to a haltech for example.
I definitely agree with you on the small turbo. Im just not sure if it will just be as easy as swapping a new one in without any major modifications.

Yeah generally more TQ than HP like that historically has shown to be troublesome and can bend rods etc.. in the VQ. At least ur built so in that sense your hardware should be able to handle but def listen to Boosted and get a bigger turbo and less restrictive exhaust setup. What is your exhaust setup BTW? I would read up on older posts with regards to the overheating could be a few things and or lack there of.

If you're putting out more torque than hp you've probably got some pretty serious exhaust back-pressure at the turbo... seems pretty common on an APS single turbo kit though.
I bet if you backed off the boost a bit you probably wouldn't see much of a drop in whp, just torque.

COOLING ISSUES-try a maradyne extreme platinum twin 12" fan setup...ultra thin, 3100 cfm...what oil cooler and radiator are you using? upgrade? Evans coolant? Bumper opening size?
Overheating seems to be a huge problem on the boosted VQ's.

if you have overheating issues and have gone through a few bleads/refills, you have bigger issues. ask me how i know.
you can try installing an expansion tank and see if that resolves the issue. if not, you are looking at head gasket issues.
normal ARP head studs or ARP L19 head studs? paired with what headgasket?

NO oil cooler? Why not? Z's have an issue with high oil temps...cheap and easy install..just sayin' Stock radiator?
You can't build a high performance engine and go cheap or eliminate other areas, like cooling....I won't waste my time posting anymore....
