Choosing vortech over turbo. What do you guys think of my plan?
Well... i was going to turbo my 06 Z. But now my living expenses are a little higher, and I genuinly think it's just wiser to go with the supercharger...
I plan to get the V3 tuner kit as well as a 255lph Walbro fuel pump, 440cc injectors, and an Osiris tune. And yes I know, get a smaller pulley. I know. Am I missing anything of huge importance? I don't believe I am from what reaserch I've done. While I'm here I may as well ask for a rough guesstimate of installation cost for it all. I don't have the time or the know how (yet anyways) to do it on my own.
Thanks guys.

I would also add a oil cooler. And if you want to race a bigger radiator.

That 438 wheel hp you have is that maxing out the blower? (i guess you have a V3 SCI kit?)
Do you have supporting mods?

My current setup includes:
Vortech V2 head unit with custom intake
2.87 drive pulley
walbro 255 fuel pump
OEM GTR injectors (~550cc and they are VERY close to being maxed)
Full exhaust
Kinetix Velocity intake manifold

The blower is maxed out RPM-wise according to Vortech (Although they underrate everything they sell).

With a 2.87 pully you are already slightly overdriving the SC at max shift rpm (6600rpm)
If i put everything in the calculator i get 54.554 rpm (http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/page.php?id=33511)

Or do you spin it that high so you have a better pickup in the midrange.
Guess it makes quite some noice when the engine is idle
Also enplanes your ability to hit over 500 rwhp.

Do you have different cams and springs for 7100 rpm? i was thinking about bumping my rev limit of my revup to 7200 (only 200 more) but leaving heads stock. Or i can just go for a 3.13 stock pully with the Ati damper and spin everything at 58k (V2 Ti blower is rated at 55K rpm. But i dont know if i will get to much boost then)
That 19 PSI after the intercooler / before plenum?
Oh thats nice

Your build is very impressive, sir. 19psi on a stock motor is insane. Been reading alot of members that believe 400hp on stock rods are the limit, or that we need to stay under 400tq to make a stock motor last, but here you are years and Thousands of tested miles and drags will almost 600whp on your best tune. I can see now that the tuning the right way is soo important. I hope to be able to tune my car as good as you one day, I'm still learning but still have more work on my tune to be done to make big, consistent and most of all, reliable power.

I have seen so many people blow there motor at 450+ HP levels. Rods bend and stuff like that. Its impressive that your motor is able to hold why higher HP levels without problems.
