Well i had an ooops monent earlier today, car has been setting because of the crap wire job i orgionally did the wideband sensors. Today i fixed all the wiring and took the car for a spin. Not going super hard but winding it out becuase its fun and i've missed it.

Well while trying to go from 3rd to 4th i accidently went to 2nd reved it prolly 3" below 8k. Scared the **** out of me, i went to neutral as quick as i possibly could and pulled over immedatly to listen for odd sounds.

This is the first time i've ever missed a 3-4 shift, i need way more seat time it appears.

^God I barely got mine out of the garage today after sitting for a couple months with a dead battery and just cut the fuel back up to E85+ with some much needed E98 from the old E68 in the tank. Now I'm going to always think of mis-shifting into 2nd from 3-4 shift. And to think earlier today I was more worried about the oil galley paper gaskets taking a **** again lol.

Meh its very hard to miss gears with a CD00X they are so close they usally just fall in.

You"ll be fine just let her get to normal temps then have some fun.

You're right. I power shift my car all the time and it only ever missed a shift when I had shifter plate come loose.

Yea i'm going to realign mine and try to adjust my clutch to have it fully disengaged about 3"-5" from the top of the pedal.

Well car is slower that it was stock.....it feels like it has 0 power down low. Then once it hits 4.5-5k it feels like VTEC kicked in and off to the races.

so far tonight best is a 9.6 at 78mph. Stock was a 9.2 at 77. This is all in a 1/8th.

You've got some room for improvement on that 60 ft' time. What tires are you using on the rear?

Kinetix = boooo!!! Go get three dyno pulls with your current setup and then install the kinetixs and do three more … my gut tells me you'll drop power...

Kinetix velocity manifold has proven itself benefitial to builds who rev past the stock redline, as it moves the powerband to the right extending and flattening torque AND eliminates the bottleneck the oem plenum has after the throttle body, providing more airflow the higher you rev, which Sasha from SGM/OnPoint Dyno proved this as well. I wouldnt dismiss the manifold, depending on your setup, it can help. You are using cams Conway, so now the engine wants to breathe more at higher RPM, yes you will loose midrange but your topend will see better gains.

The plan is to do a comparison with current set up and then kinetix. That will give me current numbers, then at a later date ill test current intake vs kinetix with my future mods.

Yup, Something also to add, the kinetix make it soo much easier to work on the top of the motor providing ease of access to the injectors and ignition system. Removing 6 10mm bolts and 2 nuts is was easier that the 20 bolts you gotta remove with the oem plenums. My decision to have one wasnt for power alone.

I think the ease of MX, the cooler IATs and better flowing neck will make it all worth it. It also looks super sexy.

I appreciate the insight Blue ... from my background it just seems like a lot of additional piping and you lose the OEM 'trumpet' velocity stack intakes the OEM has.

I'll be the first the admit the best thing of any engine and any setup is that you can try something and see what works.

Conway may be a isolated case in that he has a nice build w/some quality parts, that can spin faster, can re-tune, and is at sea level!

if for results ...
