Default Oil pan Spacer and Oil Qty ?

Hello guys, i´m finishing my twin turbo setup, but I noticed that with the oil pan spacer the oil dip stick won´t read oil and if I add more oil level will be above the turbos return line and obstruct the oil flow.

So my question is, should I get a larger oil dip stick? any ideas wich one will fit?

Thanks!

Do your turbo drain lines plumb into the spacer? if so, just fill it up to midway on the dipstick. The turbos should still drain just fine

I tried to copy/paste the formula to calculate the area of a trapezoid (2 dimensional oil pan). If you don't mind a little math, measure the pan spacer dimensions and multiply by thickness ( 3 dimensional volume ), then convert to ml or quarts. This should get you pretty close.
Also, the quantity might be on mfgr website or spec sheet, gl!

Did the spacer come with a drop for the oil pickup? If not, you fill it to the same level on the oem dipstick. If your oil return is lower than your oil level then you have a problem.

Mine had a spacer on the pickup (AAM). I'd think most do, I'd make sure you have one. That said, I found I had to drop below the H mark on the stick to get rid of the occasional minor smoke. I now set it close to the L mark. My volume is about .75 of a litre up, but it's hard to tell due to the oil cooler lines, etc.
