I have had a great experience with my Stillen SC and would do it again. I have been very satisfied with Customer Service as well....

I will spend my money with whoever I freaking want to....especially if it makes me feel a little more at ease with a warranty and CARB legal... in which every cop in San Diego is cracking down on if he gets a bug in his a$$ to pull you over. It seems we have a "small" street racing "problem" here....

Have you ever had to deal with Stillens customer service dept before??That warranty isnt worth the paper is printed on, when Stillen starts finding excuses why their unit was NOT the reason you ruined your motor...Cant wait to see the first person to try and utilize Stillens "WARRANTY" ...I personally have run an ATI for quite some time and find that their lack of warranty is made up with their superior customer service, at least in my case..Thats just my opinion
Just curious, what problem did you have that did not get resolved with Stillen?

I am assuming with your strong statement that you are speaking from experience....

probably his oil cooler...which frankly I could have told you would not fit either (consider you have an intecooler)

I am quite sure Stillen can make the warranty offer present because the kit is not tuned to the edge of destruction (and does not allow for individual user input in the tuning), so they don't plan on blowing any (or many) up.

We don't deal often with Stillen (we are a dealer though), but when we have, it's been pain free

Actually my oil cooler which I SPECIFICALLY asked the Tech if it would fit with an intercooler already in place and was told "yes"..Which was actually a "NO FRICKIN WAY MAN"
Prior to that it was my wing that literally melted a softball sized dent in the center of it during the summer months, and I was told it was a preperation issue by the body shop..Unless they prepped it with sulfuric acid, I doubt it was the problem...
Oh and the "used" set of UR pulleys they sent me that someone obviously had installed on their car and took off and sent them back...I had to send them back at my own expense too..
So if you ask why I have a bad taste in my mouth about Stillen, thats why..Their customer service has been HORRIBLE to me and its not just me.Theres a whole site devoted to it..
www.stillensucks.com
All the modding I have done and I only had problems with Stillen and 350forums.org..Sorry for the hijack guys..

Guy's this thread was started for the fact that there didn't seem to be enough info out there on stillen SC's not to bash anyone one or any other competitor just wanted to touch bases with some other stillen users.
There seem to be alot of units sold and just wanted to see what ballpark numbers they were getting.
I just want to learn what problems if any they have had not to compare with anyother unit. the people that bought stillen bought it for a reason when I get my belt problem fixed I'll be happy as he!! with the unit. Thanks again everyone that posted....

mediq is providing helpful info to the community, and we should be thankful for it. This bashing will discourage many other people from posting helpful info like this.

That's what keeps me from posting stuff. I don't go into every procharger thread and say how much they suck because they blow up lots of engines.

mediq, I was expecting more out of stage 3... it seems that this SC will need about 8-9psi to achieve 350+ whp... and, by that time, torque will arrive too soon and heat will build a LOT... Also, what other mods do you have? CAI, perhaps? How does your car sound? Care to record it accelerating (sound only) and post a link? Here's mine, I have a distinct "siren" sound that I don't like:

http://briefcase.yahoo.com/~bashcelik/

I think future buyers should also know how their car will sound, besides dyno curves and A/F ratios... afterall, we love the way our cars sound, so no messin with that

Cheers

Well there was that one guy making like what.. ~370wheel if I remember with the stillen kit @ like 7psi. For the stillen setup that's a shitload and I'm sure that car had to be pretty damn fast. Although I'm not sure what his mods where to get that kinda power from the kit, but I wouldnt mind that much HP with the postive displacement, talk about being able to keep up with cobra's on their own ground (ie from a stop).

Wasn't the Stillen not liking an open exhaust though? IE, test pipes, less restrictive exhaust.
