What do i need?

Hey guys,

My plan for this spring/summer is to break into the 13's in the 1/4.
What mods do you guys think ill need to reach my goal?? Right now i am stock and ran a 14.6@98mph in 40 deg. temps. I know im capable of 14.3-14.4 in ideal conditions. So what bolt-ons do i need to help me get that 13.9?? Thanks for your help

Crawford Headers
Craword Plenum
Straight pipes
Y-Pipe
ECU Reflash

That should put you somewhere in the 13's

if you want more power do Cams

supercharger, 150 shot of nos and two midgets in the trunk blowing into a tube to raise boost:)

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

I really don't want to get too carried away with mods. I had a WRX that i modded pretty heavy and got nothing but grief from it. Apparently there are stock G35 sedans running high 13's so i know it shoudn't take too many mods for me to hit that 13.9 mark.
I was thinking maybe a Z tube, popcharger, and plenum would do the trick. What do you think?

imo intake is not going to drop your times.

1st thing it to get rid of exhuast
IMO you should get about 20 ponies out of a free flowing exhaust with test pipes. 20 more with headers and 20 more with the plenum

or just get a wet shot of nos

Make certain to get at least midget V4. The others have cracks :icon8:

Maybe a camber kit to dial it out? I've heard the negative camber in the G35/350Z makes it hard to get a good launch.

Might not get you much, but it could help.

Well my best time was 14.6@98mph. It was 40 degrees outside and couldn't grip at all that night. So the 14.6 i got was just mashing the pedal in MM mode. So i really haven't had a chance to really launch my car yet. So you think a camber kit will help a little?? thats interesting... ill have to look into that a little.

I've ran 13.8s pretty consistently with my current setup (different exhaust and no headers though) and 16" drag slicks from a Mustang (they sucked but they're better than any street tire still) - I had 1.8sec 60' times with high 101mph trap speeds...

That was when it was 90+ degrees in August/Sept. though!

After headers, new exhaust and better slicks I'm pretty sure I could get close to 13.6...
