Why does it have less HP than the G35 sedan, which has 306?

It may not have the VQ35HR.

it doesnt and the HP is rated different due to new SAE standards.

After the change in SAE standards, it doesn't seem like a big change; minus 4-5 HP.

Ok, I'm going to be the one to ask the retarded question today...
The G coupe is still carried over from the 1st generation, and is not the redesign w/ the new engine like the sedan, right?
Are they waiting to release the coupe next year when the release the new Z?

The Z is getting redesigned as a 2009 model... so the new G coupe will be out before

sat in the new g at the auto show. There are some diferences but they are small. The back seemed even more useless then before. Some nice instumentation changes though

i thought he was referring to the Z with the HR engine.
Re-design-wise, yes, the G coupe will be out before the Z.
Engine-wise, the Z will have the HR before the G coupe (a few months before, they are both '08)

Nope no new changes for the '07 coupe. But keep an eye out for the redesigned '08 come spring/summer.
