Color change rumor

Say goodbye to Carribean Blue and hello to some shade of metallic green. '04 model.

Unconfirmed, but I hope it's true. It will make my car more rare!

jz350 03-31-2003 08:59 PM

I think the cb will be rare as along with the base model, only 2% so out of 16,000 cars thats 320.

ihatethatbobbarker 03-31-2003 11:01 PM

i figured red was the rare color
sweet im so glad they are making blue the rare color
it better be true

Is there any way to get the production numbers of each individual color combination yet? I know for a mustang, you can find out how many cars are EXACTLY like yours. That would be a neat little fact to know!

Supposedly the 350Z is getting that liquid silver paint similar to the auto show. Perhaps the G35c will have a similar option. The auto show paint was incredible but VERY expensive. I know the 350Z liquid silver won't be exactly the same, but a similar effect would be cool.

I would buy liquid silver in a heatbeat.

ihatethatbobbarker 04-18-2003 02:01 PM

im not silver car person
but that liquid silver is sweet

neildawg 04-20-2003 08:16 AM

the liquid silver is available on the '04 maximas. from what i can tell, it doesn't look anywhere close to the 350z show car finish. if anything, its just a tad more lusterous than chrome silver...

I am sure this is a bad representation, but this is the nissanusa.com picture of liquid silver for the '04 Maxima. Looks like Chrome Silver to me. I was hoping it would be more impressive like the show paint. Perhaps in person it looks better.

Boo! I want them to keep Carribean Blue around! Blue is supposed to be getting more and more popular. I don't think it would make too much sense to get rid of it. I guess we'll find out soon enough!

ihatethatbobbarker 05-02-2003 04:21 PM

the less blue the better, i like to stand out.

Finality 05-02-2003 06:07 PM

Any word on when the first 04s will start to roll off the line?

DrRick 05-02-2003 06:38 PM

is there any way to find out how many 6MTs were made in 2003? i would love to know and also find out what number mine is. one can hope cant they..........

afr0puff 05-02-2003 09:09 PM

16,000 coupes were produced for 2003 model. Roughly 10% are 6MT if I recall.

ihatethatbobbarker 05-02-2003 09:44 PM

only 10%
my car just keeps getting more rare

lol

It will help bring a higher price when you sell it... but within reason. ;) It is a pretty car, though!

One of the reasons I liked the Z a bit better was that I wasn't a fan of CB. Just didn't say "upscale sporty touring coupe" to me. What I think Infiniti would be smart to do would be to do a nice midnight blue color, maybe like that dark blue on the Lexus SC.

*shrug*

ihatethatbobbarker 05-13-2003 07:13 PM

man i love the CB on my car, everytime i look at it i love it more. prefer it to daytona blue, i think my blue would look great on a Z.

afr0puff 05-13-2003 08:47 PM

I was a huge fan of Daytona Blue, but now that I've seen my CB G35 in every lighting condition, I love it more. I love it when it rains. This color literally glows when it's raining.

But they did introduce a new color for 2004. Twilight Blue from the sedan is coming over to the coupe. CB is still staying in production.
