As a side note, I was looking in Automobile magazine and there was a brief mention that the new Z could share underpinnings with the MB SLK.
So based upon that... they have that 1.8L Turbo 4 that would go into the MINI Z and rumors of a 3.0v6TT are out there
Completely unnecessary and asinine IMO. The old system made much more sense and each model developed its own brand recognition with consumers.

I hope it looks nothing like the awful concept that was in their booth at the LA Auto Show. They've gone over the top with the organic lines. I don't have a lot of hope for this, powertrain or otherwise.
