No, it will not. It has been confirmed the Sport model will NOT have a manual transmission. Sport model only gets paddle shifters, sport front bumper, 19 inch wheels, and big brakes.

I foresee Infiniti having poor sales and losing a lot of money.

I agree Rude. What the fawk is wrong with Nissan where we can't even get a motor with some forced induction?! Hell BMW's 3 series line up will have practically ALL models with FI to include the M3/4! We will always be the laughing stock in the aftermarket crowd because our cars are slow and it takes a shyt load of money to make them fast. Where as other makes just need a tune, exhaust...etc and they have a shyt ton more power.

There are two options a hybrid that ups the power to total 354hp combined and probably better acceleration.

They stated that later models will come with a Turbo 4 cylinder option.

I completely agree. I think its real sharp.

Even after admitting that there has been the first increase in demand for manuals in the US after decades of decline I was really surprised that they did away with the 6MT. The cancer known as CVT has taken root in Infiniti and now I wonder how much longer the AT will be available.

As far as design goes, what disappoints me is the 2012 G37X in the driveway. I wish we could have known/waited.

I do like the interior. I think it's a huge upgrade of the old one which to me didn't seem to be any better/more luxurious than the 370Z interior.

How did they b*tch slap you? You don't want 355HP/460lbs of TQ?

That's far more powerful than any turbocharged car in the segment. With a regular 7AT trans.

Why so much concern over the successor to the full size sedan? This is NOT the successor for the sports coupe! You all in the market for an old's man car? Lol

Full size sedan? This is supposedly the successor to the G sedan; not the M sedan. The G sedan had a direct correlation to the G coupe in the past. Hence the grave concerns for what the next coupe will be and also any implications this new Infiniti might have for what Nissan does with the next Z powertrain.

I see your point, but this car won't be a tuner type of car like the G37, G35 coupe and sedans were. Hell they aren't even making manual version. This doesn't bode well for the coupe. Infiniti is really alienating a particular part of their customer base while trying to expand into others.

I guess... but given that the Q60/coupe isn't slated for release for a couple years, it's a little early to be worrying too much about details in the Q50 that may or may not carry over. This design reminds me of the new jags. Not bad, not great. Fine for a 4 door.

Q50 to get TURBO 4......how does everyone feel about this?

In addition to a new name and a new hybrid model, there might be even more changes in store for 2014 Infiniti Q50. Autoweek is reporting that Johan de Nysschen, president of Infiniti, has said that the brand's new entry-level sedan will offer a turbocharged four-cylinder and a diesel engine.

Both new engines will come through a partnership between Daimler AG and Renault-Nissan, but initially, the diesel will be offered for European buyers only. While we won't be holding our breath for a diesel to arrive in the US, de Nysschen was quoted as saying that Infiniti is "reflecting on the US market." The big question, of course, when it comes to these new engines is how (or if) the automaker will distinguish between the current V6 base engine and the new ones in the model names. We'll find out in the next two years when the new engine options become available.

If it's anything like the Evo X's 4c, I'm all for it.
