Import Face Off One day...

2 days later

Full story was we were moving. My son who was 2 at the time saw something on the car. He was helping. Said "dad there is something on your car" I said go ahead and get it off... Really what it was was something under the dip, and when he pulled on it..... Well the dip came off. Leaving a hole where the red was... MY son came to me with tears allready in his eyes saying dad I wrecked your car. I went out only to see the dip pulled. I had 2 choices.

1. Freak out and yell at my son for something that really was not his fault... Possibly pull him away from cars for a long time and hinder a relationship building tool.....

2. Give him a hug and a kiss and tell him everything was just fine and to peel the rest of the car with me and help me repaint it and talk to him about it... I chose

#2.....

NEW FLARES are on their way. They will fit WAY closer on the fronts and the same on the rears.

I ENDED UP SELLING THESE FLARES.... STARDAST released they were building a kit. I decided if I didnt like the Stardast kit I will just do a APR widebody mash up.

Other than that this off season... My car is getting a New BOV, Wire tuck in the engine bay, Air suspension, and a few other small interior upgrades. But it will be quiet this year from me. Not much to show.

I am currently trying to figure out my trunk layout... Here is what I am working with

All buttoned up it looked like this

I am just running low on room back there... I have a few options of what I can do...

1. Remove the amp and mount it back BEHIND the box.
Mount the tank there and the compressors on the sides
Add a plexiglass wall there and leave the front as is.

2. REVERSE the setup Subs in back tank up front...
Plexiglass wall by subs
Tank flush mounted up front with compressors on each side....

3. Build something completely different.

IDEAS???

Color was Blackhole. But the company has since gone out of business. You can still find the color though. PM me if you REALLY want to know where to look, as I cant just release it.

I sold my TS front end and will be getting a new one. Therefore NEW COLOR!!!!

If I can acquire them for a fair price. I dont want to spend 400 a piece.... Its either that or completely shave the door handle... The last thing I am doing is the exterior. I will likely do a APR widebody... But I will buy it from Duraflex. So I can piece it together... Only need the skirts, and Fenders...

Here is some more tear down pics...

Gold Under the car.... Gotta be a baller!!!!!!

Air bags on the front all done...

Winter mode. LOTS TO DO!!!!!!!

That color match THOUGH!!!!!!! Gold carbon weave for all the gold in the engine PERFECT match!

One surprise of many RARE PARTS that I have coming in... Clock is one of 6 ever made. LOTS ARE Tommy Kariana... just a little easier to get my hands on right now. Clock from a G37, retrofitted. Kick panels retrofitted and layed in carbon fiber. Shift **** with blue turtle. Top Secret badges and oil cap... A few extra blue turtles inlayed around the car...

Sorry its been a while. I have been MAD busy. Here are my updates.

I am retrofitting a G37/GTR dome light into the car. The stock G35 one looks so OLD!!!!!

Adding a matching Oil Cooler to the mix.

All The Candy Gold pieces soon to be installed.

I tried to carbon wrap these valve covers and the timing cover and I could never get it right. SO I hydrodipped them... I think they came out FANTASTIC!!!

All of these are INSANELY HARD TO FIND. Most NOT MADE anymore. The shift **** is 1 of 20. Clocks Red is One of 5 Black 1 of 3 EVER MADE. Airbag is 1 of 1.

Airbag mounted in my custom made steering wheel

I got the HOLY GRAIL of manifolds in sent it to be polished and powder coated.

Here is basically how the trunk will end up looking.

SO Over the next year once my car is REDONE..... I will be shaving my bay and painting it. Adding and modding the stardast kit. Getting APR sideskirts and modding the flares to kinda mold into them. Installing the GTR door handles (wrapping them in carbon fiber first and adding a turtle to each side) Then flush mounting my gas cap and deleting the one thats there. I will either WRAP my car or paint not sure which right now.

you going to install the GTR handles yourself?

If so, sure would be nice to see a basic write up on it!

Thanks

I definitely would love to see how the handles turn out as well, I second seeing a diy on this install.
Loving your build, keep up the great build!!

I was following you on ig but I guess you closed your account. Random question but what happened to your chargespeed bumper?
