Tein Basic and CE28N's
okay all, here's some pics after the tein installation. i decided to go with the basics since 1)cheaper 2)didn't need the adjustability of the flex 3)the flex is a stiffer ride than the basics. i'm sure everyone has they're reasons, but those are mine and i'm stickin' to it :D

how much lower could you go if you wanted to?looks incredible btw, nice work!
|
Awesome bro'. Don't change a thing. What offset, front and rear, do you have on the CE28N's?
|
good wheel choice with nice drop man...
|
hey nice drop. i want to get tein basics too. did you install it yourself? was it hard? would you know where i could get the tein basics for a good price?
|
what's the overall drop with the basics?
|
i wouldn't go much lower with the fronts, as they may rub. i used the reference point for lower, and left it there. it's about 1-1.02in all around, but after they settle, it will be lower. you could probably go about .5in lower on the rear w/o rolling the fenders, but no guarantees, it especially depends on the wheel/tire combination you decide to use.
as for the wheels, the offset front and rear is +22. as for installation, it could be very difficult w/o proper tools...a spring compressor is a must for the front, unless you have the patience and strength, to muscle the front suspension out of the lower control arm. the rears were no problem at all, pretty straightforward. i got my tein basics from 350zOnlineStore. talk to bryan, he's a great person to deal with. thanks everyone for the compliments! i may change the ride height to make the front more even with the back, but the spring rate will change so i will have to do more research. n1cK! |
nice wheels, can you take some pics from the back? i would like to see if the 10.5 back wheels stick out much or if it has any trouble with rubbing. The same pics of the fronts if while your at it if you can.
I have a coupe and Im looking into getting 19x9.5/19x10.5 set of volks too with a +22 offset mine is lowered on eibachs pro kit..do you think i should have any problems with rubbing"?> |
Nick...hows the ride of the Basics now that you have them on your G?...comfortable for day-to-day driving?...

when you put your coilovers in did you leave them the tein sets them up (i'm refering to the height) if you did,how much was left on the threaded body to go down?
i know you said you might be able to go 0.5" lower in the rear, but were afraid to rub-but what i want to know is if you had stocks on how much lower do you think the car would go if you were to lower the coilovers to their lowest setting? thanks! |
wat are you doing about the one lower side? is it going to settle?
edit* not the front vs. rear but driverside vs. passenger |
