Question for crawford header owner's

What did you guy's do to protect the fuel lines? The instructions don't say anything about the fuel lines. Thanks for any info.

I did nothing. I had doug install mine and he never said anything about it. I don't think it is a problem.

I used to have the Crawford headers before I went TT, and I didn't have to do anything to protect the fuel lines.

I'm just a little nervous with the header only being 2 or 3 inches from the fuel line. I would like to put some sort of heat shielding over the lines.

Heat wrap:)

I'm planning on getting a SS return system anyway, but thermowrap never hurt anyone

Are you guys talking about wrapping the headers or the lines with heatwrap? The headers are on the car and I don't think I can wrap them, its pretty tight with the crawfords.

sentry65 Sep 20, 2005 12:21 PM

we're all talking about the fuel lines.

you can thermocoat or heat wrap the headers too - but in your case that's not really a possibility unless you spend the cash to remove them.

I wish I knew to jethot coat or heat wrap my headers before installing them.....

I got my Crawfords coated with Jet Hot 2000. No problem with the fuel line.
