Default Custom Exhaust

Was wondering if anyone has just gone to a local muffler/exhaust shop and had an exhaust made? I'm thinking of going to my local shop and having a dual exhaust made. Prices for just a cat-back are crazy and I don't want to drop $800+ for one. I did just ordered the APS Test Pipes though.

Problem is most muffle shops dont have a mandrel machine to do the bending. That is what you are paying for in a quality exhaust.

I had custom exhaust made on the RSX type S I had before I got the Z, and the work was amazing. The exhaust sounded better than anyone elses RSX that I know of. The only other mod I had to it was rims, so the exhaust sound was not enhanced in anyway. I think total I payed $300. For my Z I think I would rather order an exhaust that I know would fit though. If you do decide to go with custom, just do your research on the shops first.
