AAM 3" Max Flow & 3" Max Flow True Dual Press Release!
AAM Spec 3 Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems for 350Z & G35 Increasing the horsepower of an engine breaks down to two simple processes getting the maximum amount of air in and out of the motor as quickly as possible. After the intake has been upgraded, the next logical step is to address the exhaust system. The factory exhaust system on the 350Z is restrictive and creates excess back pressure. Upgrading to one of the AAM Spec exhaust systems will result in a substantial increase in mass and velocity of exhaust flow, allow for a reduction in backpressure and thermal engine stress, and help unleash your engines potential for increased power and torque. AAM offers two types of 350Z 3 exhausts: the 3 Max Flow and the 3 Max Flow True Dual exhaust. Both are CNC mandrel bent T-304 16-gauge stainless steel to ensure the highest reliability and quality. The mufflers are 3 N1 style high-flow turbo mufflers that produce a deep aggressive tone. These exhausts are the highest flowing cat-back systems available for the 350Z and are specifically designed to not create the boomy highway resonance common on many other popular exhaust systems. The 3 Max Flow exhaust is designed to give our customers all the advantages (unrestricted flow and maximum horsepower) of a straight-through cat-back exhaust system while retaining an exhaust note as tame as possible. This combination of sound and maximum exhaust flow excels in both naturally aspirated applications and supercharged 350Zs, while additionally working extremely well for our Turbocharged customers up to 550rwhp. http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/aam3...glerear-02.jpg The 3 Max Flow exhaust bolts up to factory and most aftermarket Y-Pipes. One advantage of the 3 Max Flow exhaust is a specially designed flange with a 3 inner diameter. The flange was designed to fit both the factory bolt pattern (stock Y-Pipe or most aftermarket Y-Pipes which have a 2 Ύ inner diameter flange) and our high flow AAM 3 Y-Pipe (when used with the AAM 3 Max Flow Y-Pipe there will be an unrestrictive 3 flow path!). The 3 Max Flow dyno tested at 10rwhp on a naturally aspirated 2004 Nissan 350Z! http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/aam3...glerear-03.jpg The question everyone has heard time and time again
Does size matter? OF COURSE! BIGGER IS BETTER INTRODUCING THE ULTIMATE 350Z and G35 EXHAUST SYSTEM The Crew at AAM is extremely pleased to announce the release of the finest crafted Nissan 350Z and Infiniti G35 exhaust system The AAM Spec. 3 Max Flow True Dual exhaust system. http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/aam3inch-rearbehind.jpg http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/aam3inch-system-01.jpg The 3 Max Flow True Dual exhaust system is specifically designed for those with extreme volume and velocity requirements. This exhaust is the highest flowing exhaust available for the 350Z and is a perfect match for any Turbocharged 350Z, including 800rwhp+ competition setups that require maximum flow. http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/aam3inch-system-03.jpg The 3 Max Flow True Dual exhaust system comes with a specially designed 3 inner diameter flange on each side that bolts-up to either the factory cat pipes or most aftermarket 2.5 test pipes. Twin mandrel bent 3 polished stainless steel T-304 16 Gauge exhaust tubes run along each side of the 350Zs undercarriage. Two high-flow stainless steel resonators ensure straight through flow and a deep exhaust note. http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/aam3inch-axle.jpg By significantly decreasing thermal load, the AAM 3 Max Flow True Dual exhaust system provides maximum reliability for your VQ35 engine and its internal components. Preliminary testing has shown gains over 40rwhp on high horsepower turbocharged Zs vs. the factory exhaust. The AAM 3 Max Flow True Dual is the ultimate 350Z exhaust and an engineering work of art. http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/orange1.jpg http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/orange2.jpg http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/orange3.jpg Stainless Steel Muffler(s) on both Max Flow exhaust systems guarantee excellent durability and corrosion resistance and come fully polished with either a polished Stainless Steel or Titanium Tip the choice is yours. http://65.109.82.116/_forumpost/aam3inch-muffler-02.jpg Need to transport the Grandparents to the mall? I think i'd buy it, but has anyone tried to put n1 style mufflers straight back? Not a big fan of the angled tips. I can understand the whole less bends, better flow, but is there any way of just cutting the tips to have them point straight back? (mindless typing, i know)

It can be done with the N1 style mufflers but is very difficult. You will have to relocate the passenger side canister, and several add'l extremely tight bends are required! And as you mentioned these bends will be very tight and will effect flow. We designed this system to be the highest flowing system available. |
2 questions...
1) You put hp gains with the single, what are gains with the dual? Maybe I missed it. 2) My last car was a 300ZXTT, torque and HP improvements were always seen going to an X pipe over an H pipe or true duals. Any thought to doing an X pipe similar to those made by Labree/SpecialtyZ? Those are the best looking/sounding/performing exhausts on the market of the Z. Edit - the system DOES look great, just wondering about those things. |
sounds clips for single exh...

You think you can reangle the tips? Just the tips, seems time comsuming if you ask me, but i think would look 10x better. Welding titanium is going to be a *****(if it is really titanuim)
|
I think what you are talking about is what we are doing with my setup.
The exhaust is designed for a normal body kit. My Vizage kit is a bit deeper and longer. (I think the first pic of the dual exhaust is mine and you can see the tips are too close to the skirt, needs to be pushed out about 1 inch to keel the black exhaust off the back of the bumper) This means we need to extend the tips of the titanium exhaust. This can be done by basically removing the rivets holding the muffler tips on, welding in an extension to the muffler and then riveting/bolting the titanium tips back on the extensions created. :icon9: At least that is what we talked about a month or so ago.. I am sure the guys at AAM have this already figured out. |
that exhaust system is so hot

+1000 for the straight tips. Angled tips suck.

My JIC single is straighter:icon39: Nice looking systems...lets hear em'

Looks great. Cant wait to hear them. Nice product again :D

what exactly is the 3” Max Flow True Dual Titanium for Turbonetics Single Turbo? Is it like the RSR and TopSpeed designs? Do you have pics? I'd like to see how it goes from 1 into 2.
Also, how low do these cans sit? |
Edit: never mind.... I see what your asking. :icon14:
Duals for TN? I guess to fill the whole left by the stock tip???? 3" single will flow well enough for the TN single turbo. Respect JET |
Jet with all due respect...the pricing is listed as follows and from that I gather there may be a two can setup for the TN in addition to the Single setup.
Max Flow System 3” Max Flow: $699.99 3” Max Flow Titanium (Titanium Tip): $799.99 Max Flow InnerSilencer: $39.99 Max Flow True Dual System 3” Max Flow True Dual: $1,495 3” Max Flow True Dual for Turbonetics Single Turbo: $1,495 3” Max Flow True Dual Titanium (Titanium Tips): $1,695 3” Max Flow True Dual Titanium for Turbonetics Single Turbo: $1,695 Max Flow InnerSilencers (pair): $79.98 |
Damn that's the most expensive ss exhaust I've ever seen.
