Keep your tune between 12.5-13 A/F for optimum results.
Hmmmm, so are you saying then that this shifts the a/f enough that w/o a tune it won't be that worth it

I'm w/o a tune and I know that when I did the spacer install I immediately felt power all over, same with headers and hfc and other breathing mods.....I guess I'm curious though at what point the a/f become too affected by the breathing mods.

If you are already tuned like me with the unichip, then you will not need to retune it again bc it will only lean the A/F ratio alittle and still make optimal hp (A/F shifted from 12.8 to 13.0 now with the MREV++).

But those without a tune that have mass modes will lean out even more in the range of 14.XX and will make less hp until they are properly tuned. Get it now?

Yes, I know what he's saying, but what I'm saying is will the m++ collector have a DRAMATIC effect on the a/f? Like adding headers shifts the a/f, but in most cases not enough that you lose any power. Will the m++ shift it quite dramatically or only minorly

somewhere around 0.2 A/F shift.
It won't make a difference at 12.5 A/F but if you are already in the high 14's, it will.
----------
On a different note.

Everyone going to Church Automotive tomorrow. If you plan to install a plenum mod while at the shop, try to make accomodations before leaving.

1) Remove your strut bar before going. Time flys when you are at the dyno shop. Whatching cars get dynod. Chatting with friends and stuff. Save as much time as you can. You can always bring the strut bar with you so you can reinstall it.

2) BYOT Bring your own tools. Download a copy of the installation manual from the Motordyne website and study it before leaving. It will save you considerable time bending over the engine bay.

I'll have tools too but don't rely on me because i will be busy with dyno installations. --> You can use my torqe wrench though.

See you at the Dyno!

so the dyno you posted where the a/f actually decreased with the mrev++ was just an anomaly?

Tony can you end this once and for all for everyone asking what kind of gains would be made with the MREV V2, 5/16 Spacer, and a Long Tube CAI...

Tony...Would you recommend a Long Tube CAI to be combined with a MREV V2, and the 5/16 spacer??

so you didn't see the recent dyno in this thread which showed the long tube losing power?

I had an 03.5 G35 Sedan with a Crawford V5 upper Plenum, See Avatar, and now I have an 05 Coupe (5AT) so same engine as all the 350Zs with the 287 set up and I will be getting the MREV++...I did dyno my old Sedan with the same set up I have now...and since we all know there is only a slight difference b/t the 03-06 G35 Sedans with the 5AT, 03-06 G35 Coupes with the 5AT, and the non RevUp 350Zs it should hold true for all of us so as soon as I get my MREV++ I will dyno the car...a Chasis dyno w/a drum at the rear wheels...and post results.

I am just waiting for all this $hit to me made available for purchase!

I thought that way too, but ya know what, there is NO way to tell this stuff was done...no one at a dealer will ever know...so if you are leasing your car (Like me) or if you are just worried about turning it in) there is no risk...Just an FYI since the mods are totally stealth.

Oh, and I 2nd the other G35 Owner helping you...This mod will help your car, and yes the testing was on a non rev up 287 BHP 350Z with the MREV++...which for the record, differs from the MREV+ by Tony simply porting and polishing 2 more of the 6 intake ports on the lower manifold of non RevUP motors...and obviously some secret squirrel stuff he's keeping secret...as he should.

Not necessarily. I've seen it several times before. It may simply be our tempermental ECU's.

It typically goes up more often than it goes down. Any shift is typically within +/- 0.2 A/F.

Look at the latest dyno results. A long tube CAI was dynod.

Actually i did. I just wanted a blatant quote from Tony saying he does not recommend a Long Tube CAI with his mods.

I was going to put the quote in my sig..

And technically that dyno does not show the long tube losing power, because there was no stock baseline run, the long tube was the baseline.

But still i do understand Long Tube CAIs are not recommended for these mods, i just want a blatant quote from Tony

I'm all for bringing beer, but doesn't it seem that beer and high performance cars don't really mix?
