If it's the True Dual then have fun! I had to remove and reinstall it like 3 times before I got it right. Even then I had to install spacers so the exhaust didn't rattle on the cross brace. Make sure you adjust it as high as you can off of the sway bar on the passenger side. That was my first rattle.

10,000km, no rattles, shop took less then 2 hours to install it. They followed the instructions and it worked out.

A rubber mallet to hammer in the pipes to each other is the key, because you can't just assemble it by how tight you can push it with your arms. You need to use a rubber mallet to hammer it as tight as it can go. That was the key thing my shop did.

Yeah, the stock sucked to remove. It took a long *** time considering I don't have an actual lift, so I had to use jacks, jackstands, and laying on my back. And after about 3 hours of trying to get the stock off, to no avail, I gave up because my help left, so I just assembled it back on and I guess Monday is the next try.

Just bring it to a shop, I paid like $140 for the install.

Like you, I also tried to install it myself with a friend. We couldn't get the old stock bolts off the Y pipe. If I had a torch or an air gun, that would have been easier.

When I took it to the shop, they torched the bolts and it came off like butter.

I did it on jackstands too. My suggestion: don't bother seperating the ypipe and rest of exhaust. If you have to hold it over your head two pieces is the way to lift it, but for jackstands its no sweat. Heavy yeah, but no biggie.

1) jack it up
2) wd40 the ypipe-cat bolts and let it sit a bit
3) remove bolts, exhaust hangers, and whole thing drops out

Alright, here's another dumb question since I have never put an exhaust on before.
I really don't want to take it to Nissan, is there another place I can take it to to get installed?

Any performance shop should be able to do it, or even a general muffler/ auto service shop. Where in FL are you?

Any good mechanic can do installs and it will probably be cheaper than dealer. I had my NISMO installed for $52 including tax.

The install was not hard, it's not like it's a custom fab. I just took it to Midas. Midas is a franchaise, so it's basically like a shop that has a franchaise name. Like every other private shops, you have your good Midas shops, and you have your bad Midas shops. I took it to a Midas that my friend dealt with before that had a guy he knew that did awsome exhuast installs.

its not that hard to install.. i also did it myself, with a help of 2 friends.. used the ramps, got some nut lubricants... the stock hangers is a really pain to take off. took me 1 hour struggling, and i came on the site, and i read lubricating the hangers, so i went to 7eleven and bought KY JELLY! YES, only thing available at that time, and it worked like butter.... pretty easy, after my 1st exhaust job...
