Damnd 07's
Hey guys, so one of my friends who is here on the forums (i hope he doesnt see this) just got an 07 and i hate him lol. Well not really, but i was just wondering what you guys think it will take THEORETICALLY to beat him. He has stillen intake and a greddy Ti-C exhaust.
My car is a non rev-up w/ a MD 5/16th spacer, Injen intake, Testpipes, JIC Y-pipe, and TOPSPEED exhaust. Right now my car is running incredibly rich so when we mess around he totally kills me. (So rich i fried my o2 sensors). Do you guys think that if i get a tune, and obviously fix my o2's that i will have him at least even. I think from a roll i keep with him, like a nice 50/60 roll, but from a dig, i pull a fender, then he jumps back up when i shift to second (damn 7500redline) and then its smooth sailing from then on, for him that is lol. Its odd tho because generally when he get ahead of me, its only about a length, maybe 1.5 if i **** something up but then after that we stay dead even with him about 1/1.5 lengths ahead. |
Just wait til he gets test pipes.

lol not what i wanted to hear

07's dyno in the 260's. with a lot of bolts and a tune 260's are attainable with the 287 motors. unfortunately the 07s still pull strong to 7k, unlike the 287's that fall on their faces after 6200rpm.

YOu think with a tune and maybe some UDR pulleys i could keep w/ him?
|
maybe

lol. Im plannin on doing pulleys then the Osiris from uprev, then some NAWSSS lol but im hoping off the bottle ill be able to keep with him, maybe a flywheel also, that or 3.9 gears.

Just wait til he gets 3.9 gears...
:D lol, sorry i couldn't help myself |
No bench racing allowed. Go to the dragstrip.

Don't forget the test pipes! |

Just go F/I and call it a day. You know he won't be able to keep up since no F/I is available for the HR yet. But when it is... I'll be all over it.

yea, i have a revup but it wasnt a drastic loss to my friend who has a HR and for the revups i dont think much will be need to match there rwhp because modded NA revups have attained 290rwhp already and thats only with bolt ones and a tune. no engine work. So it all depends on where your car is dyno wise. My old revup engine dynod at 251rwhp DJ and i lost by 2 car lengths to about 100. But see the revups powerband i noticed it more applicable at higher rpms because the more and more we did the roll from higher speeds the more i noticed there was less and less pull. When i dynod also maj of my power is on topend. So with basic bolt ons it really doesnt take much to beat them. ALso as there isnt much out for them because they seem to have a 2 year life span now according to Nissan rumor mill. I doubt there is gonna be a massic after market unlike the VQ35DE and DER .(revup) . The only thing is the HR makes 80percent of it power by like 7k which is hella nice.
