Cleaning a Stainless Steel Exhaust?
HI guys,
If you bought a 2nd hand Japanese Stainless exhaust (good quality) that has some road grime/dirt on it what would you use to clean it up before putting on your car? I am looking at one and it just needs a good clean. Does it need a metal cleaner/polish like Solvol or do you just get a lambs wool pad on the end of a drill and clean it up that way? Thanks! |
Soap and water? :dunno:

never dull :)

1200 grit sandpaper wet, depending on how bad it is
|
stainless steel magic from bed bath and beyond lol. thats what i use and it works amazing
|
I use Eagle 1 wadding polish material (I think its never dull or something)... I havent used it in a while (in case anyone sees my car and assumes the stuff is sh!t since ethe exhaust is dirty) - it works very well and is easy to use.

Invisible Glass glass cleaner.
Sounds strange, but it works and is easy to use... |
Mothers Aluminum polish on a wool polishing pad will do wonders.
|
i would clean it with a degreaser first and then hit it with some polish.

Power ball , after the grease and grime is removed.
