i totally understand what the problem is. and its just the forum, thats all.

and for the second part: Hydrazine had already started producing the product i think. so that way it would bring more serious attention and get people curious.

but if u bring something up like that, nerds will immediatley look at the amount of posts you have and your join date and basically say f you.
wrong.

and did you actually read the thread? why not try. there was no flaming.

and besdies that, it's the enunciation of the idea that is the problem. by the time that Tony shared his idea, it was a well developed, and demonstratable product. that will always limit the aversion to the idea. it's that simple. it has nothing to do with this forum.

I actually got a little laugh from this. It is true, kids that do not get
spanked(or at least some kind of negative reinforcement) for acting up
and kids that do not get to release any of thier aggression(dodgeball
for example) end up pretty f--'d up when they are older.

a local mieneke muffler shop can weld up the piping and flanges for you easily.
i may look into this-there is a local exhaust shop that my dealership
uses for our used car dept. for repairs that are not cost effective to do
in house-about 1 mile away-i may drive over one afternoon and pick
thier brain to see what they think

when I did mine, I found an underbody shot of the car and then used a piece of paper over top to trace out my idea. refine your idea before you go to them... they are busy, and most of the time they aren't very smart... they are good at fabbing things, but not at developing the idea

or you can just buy Tony's (Motordyne's) exhaust since it will be cheaper and higher quality than anything you can make yourself.

I made one and it cost me close to 800 bucks. tony's is going to cost 1300 or something like that for a FULL system (I included the cost of the test pipes I would want to run) and it's stainless steel (I used aluminized to cut costs) and the flanges are thick, and the connectors are quality and it's already been dyno tested.

in some cases the products out there are what you are looking for. at the time, no one made an exhaust I wanted to buy. if his was out then, I would absolutley be running it today

just to clarify what i have already: strup headers, fast intentions metallic
high flow cats, fujitsubo y-pipe, fujitsubo exhaust

was just thinking of fabbing up a straight pipe off of the mid/b-pipe
of my fuji system and keeping all other components during track use
and bolting my fuji rear section for daily driving

can't see my idea costing more than $100-150 for aluminized tubing and some flanges with labor (pipe should not be more that about 18 inches
in length)

I didn’t read the entire thread but just to add my .02 on two things...

1) Yes, people will bash on the threads about nearly anything that hasn’t been tried before or that they haven’t tried themselves... it's happened to me as well and the things they bashed work great on my car.

2) Tony indeed has had this idea for a long time... he talked to me about it well over a year ago and I'm sure he had the idea much longer ago than that. In fact I know for certain that a well-known person to these forums has been suggesting to Tony that he make an exhaust for over 3 yrs.
