What's the best way not to go backwards?
I am currently saving for FI, but in the mean time i want to gain extra hp without having to resell the parts to do FI. I was thinking test pipes for my HKS exhaust and a plenum to go with my JWT air intake. Any ideas??

FI is a different animal, spend money on suspension, or cosmetic mods until you have enough for FI.

Thanks, I already have volk gts and hks hypermax street on the way. I just want a little more power while i wait:) I was thinking utec and tune but there is not point doing it twice if i am doing FI.

exactly, so do not waste anymore money and wait until you can go F/I since that is your plan. nothing you do now would matter anyway
|
Plenum spacer?
|
well, what tuning program do you want to use with said kit?
Cause if you are planning on going utec...you can get a plenum spacer on your car, the exhaust you have and for the minimal money just drop in a K&N filter and that will be the only thing you wont reuse when you go FI...but you can get it tuned that way and gets some extra hp..... - J |

 wow, you= fail |
thank you
thank you, i'll will make notice of this.

Forgot to answer your question sorry. I plan on going utec. I wouldn't mine going Fcon, but i wouldn't see the a big difference since my FI will be on a stock block o lets not forget about that huffy price tag either.

Exhaust is an accessory for Forced-induction. Forced-induction is not an accessory for the exhaust. If you are going to do forced-induction then do it. Exhaust is trivial.
|
There are many components that are common to both FI and NA. Spacer and MREV come to mind.
Exhaust is a different story, it depends on which turbo system you get. Just about every turbo kit will bolt up to the factory y-pipe back exhaust portion. Many kits will require you to remove the y-pipe, but they come with a new one (PowerLab ST kit for example). Headers would be a bad investment for you as many kits come with new exhaust mannifolds for their turbos (Greddy for example). Research and plan you attack, that is the best advice we can give you. Good luck! |

It was meant to be a joke, you probably have one on your car and u dont tell anyone lol. |
Your right
Thank you for the help! I already have hks true dual and iam going with JWT TT with utec. I know i need test pipes, but i don't know if i should wait or get them now. Also a spacer wouldn't be a bad buy from what the other guys are telling me.

Question
Do you like your spacer? Does it make a big difference in the power curve?

Does it really work?
This might be a dumb question but bear with me. Does the turbonator really work? I see it on tv all the time, but i don't know anyone that owns one. Do you think its compatible with my JWT cold air intake?

people who get FI usually dont ask questions about small amounts of hp provided from minor bolt ons.
Anyways, you can do exhaust, plenum spacer and an engine mangement system to hold you over. Make sure your exhaust is 3" though. |
