Default Stillen quality vs. Basssani?

I'm not asking which is better, which sounds more awesome, etc... I am looking for who has better quality control? Does one use better materials?

I like the sound of both, they cost around the same, and they look pretty much the same on internet pics. Anyone have experience with them?

well i don't know what stillin exhaust looks like in person to comment, but i did have the bassani for a while and all i can say the welds over all look good but to me,my opinion, the pipes look like you can get them at home depot and do the welding yourself.

the bassani quality is great. the welds are just ok at best. it is a lot of pieces for an exhaust system..

the hangers need to be absolutely perfect to avoid rattles as the closest to the rear end of the car muffler sits just barely in between the bumper support and bumper - I had to have it readjusted once after figuring out what the damn rattle was at 1.7k rpms : P

if you get bassani, make sure you are getting the revised edition, it is improved over the original for sure.

can't speak for the stillen system.

man i had bassani and went back to stock. Not happy with the fitment on my car. It sounded great on videos but in person it was okay. It had rasp even with stock cats. Plus it was heavy...i guess similar to Stillen (but at least stillen looks good). Overall bassani is a good exhaust but id go with Stillen if i can do it over again.

BTW the guy that bought it from me loves it. To each their own i guess

All good stuff to know... starting to lean to Stillen.

Anyone with Stillen experience?

+1
If you do get the first gen, you will just need to make sure the exhaust connections (male/female) pushed together completely from the cats back. If its not, it will be too long and create a rattle. I did not encounter the bumper rattle, but I made sure the exhaust links were allllll the way in. The exhaust does hit my rear sway when I go over speedbumps etc. I plan to get it adjusted at some point.
I personally have not noticed any rasp with stock cats...\
overall, I really like the Bassani exhaust accept for the fitment of the right midpipe on the first gen.

ive got the stillen, full stainless steel, looks and sounds great, and has perfect fitment. I do have a couple complaints with it tho. First, its too quiet for my taste, but that could be a good thing if you take road trips, its dead silent when cruising. Has a really nice tone, but youve got to punch it to hear it. Id like to hear it with some resonated TP's, but cant find any good videos. Only other complaint is that even though its claimed as stainless steel, alot of the flanges are starting to rust, particularly the ones connecting to the cats. Idk if this is common or not, anyone else have this problem?

Overall though, this is a great exhaust. Really clean sound, great fitment, looks awesome (get the dual walled tips btw) and nice gains on the dyno if thats a concern

Quiet-ish on the highway is good. A little more growl than stock is also good. I like the sound of both the Bassani and the Stillen.

Good fitment is important. Good to know - thanks!
