i am confused here, i am in the market of getting the TDX2 . and I read there is an option for resonated pipe, straight pipe or hfc...I cant imagine where these go on the exhaust and which is better....I have a brand new set of ART pipes which iam gonna sell to get Berk HFC's for my set up cause of CA dumb rules...it would be nice if some one could point me out or explain the difference in the options when ordering TDX2 and which would be better

There are a couple of things here that make a difference.

The 'resonated', 'straight' and 'HFC' pipes you're referring to are for the XYZ pipe, they are modular options.

Whilst the TDX2 uses the XYZ pipe, it has it's own 'module' in a way. Instead of using one of the above mentioned modules on the end of the XYZ pipe, it uses it's own resonator section, splitting the merge point on the XYZ pipe into two outlets for the rest of the TDX2.

You *can* get a HFC option for the TDX2, it sits further back, it's actually dual as it sits on each side in the mid pipes. I still want to bug Tony about making a resonator set of pipes for the same area as an option

Let me know if you have any more questions on this.

thanks for the information,

so for the TDX2 , if i use the berk HFC,I do not need any option ,but just get the basic exhaust, which is using straight pipes on the middle of the midpipes. Am I right?

Pretty much, yes.

The complete Shockwave system will come with straight mid pipes and everything else in order to hook up a standard car.

Yup, give them a call, in your case, you would remove the HFC module you currently run, and attach the TDX2 with the HFC mid pipes.

Just explain you already have the XYZ pipe and they'll give you a price for the TDX2 without that part.

Thanks!

Test pipes are a separate item.

Thanks! So do you think it's more common to just put this exhaust on with the pipes that it comes with? Or keep the MD ART test pipes on and attach the rest of the exhaust?

The TDX2 doesn't replace cats or test pipes (ART pipes)

Ideally, the entire system is designed to be paired with ART pipes.

Default About your motordyne

I'm gonna do the motordyne exhaust but I have a question for you? You said something about the test pipes being noticeably quite. And what happened to those tubes next to your exhaust pipes

I think you'll have to explain your question a little more, that's too vague to answer.
