berk hfc's, exhaust leak on the passenger cat.
 

berk hfc's and my bassani x pipe are not playing nice. the drivers side cat sealed up just fine, but the passenger side is not mating up with the X pipe metal to metal 100%. it lines up just fine, but there is a very slight angle/wedge there, and two gaskets didn't seal it.

it is a small leak, but a leak none the less. do you think that liquid gasket stuff is appropriate to use here, or is this too high of a heat area and it's too much of a bandaid fix that will fail soon enough?

loosen all the bolts on the cat and the xpipe and do it over again. You may have tighten a couple of bolts tighter than the others. I also recommend using this:

loosen everything and start from front to back tightening it all down straight..only way to do it

think so? I thought it was something with the HFC since the stock cat was mated up just fine.

im gonna take a guess that the cat is just fine and its an install problem..like i said loosen it all from front to back and then snug everything down straight then tighten everything...if that doesnt work then maybe there is a problem with the cat, but its pretty unlikely

^ Not completely unlikely. Although I havn't had problems when I installed my berk cats, I remember reading a thread here where a member had problems lining up the passenger side cat to the y-pipe. Think he measured about 1"1/2 off or something

Try re-installing it as others mentioned and if it still doesn't do it then you probably have another lemon.
